?Chapter 631: Chapter 632 Birds and Fish (4)_1 Chapter 631: Chapter 632 Birds and Fish (4)_1 Jing Haohao opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling, thinking that she seemed to have been unconscious for a long time, and someone had been taking care of her. She even opened her eyes to take a look at the person’s face, which was beautiful and familiar, with a touch of endearing compassion in his brows.

And that face clearly belonged to Liang Chen.

Could it be a dream she was having?

Jing Haohao moved slightly as she considered this, only to find she was clutching something warmly in her hand. Unable to discern what it was, she casually rolled it between her fingers and realized it was someone’s hand. Turning her head sharply, she saw the person lying beside her bed.

It was not a dream, it was indeed Liang Chen who was taking care of her.

He looked weary, it seemed like he hadn’t gotten any good rest. His thin shirt was crumpled as though it hadn’t been changed for a long time. At this moment, he appeared frazzled and without the usual elegance, looking even a little haggard.

Perhaps due to fatigue, he lay at the foot of her bed, resting his arm under his head, closing his eyes in deep sleep. His finely chiseled face, illuminated by the light, was stunning even though he looked worn out—completely captivating.

Jing Haohao looked at Liang Chen’s sleeping face, feeling a sudden sense of sweet, comfortable itching in her heart. It was such a delight that she simply forgot to contemplate the irreconcilable gap between herself and him—like a bird and a fish.

Jing Haohao didn’t make a sound or get up. She was just quietly watching Liang Chen when after an unknown period, the sleeping Liang Chen seemed to have sensed someone staring at him. His long eyelashes trembled, and when his eyes opened, their gaze collided with Jing Haohao’s.

Jing Haohao didn’t speak, but hesitated while trying to look away.

Liang Chen seemed to be stunned for a moment before coming to his senses. He slowly raised his head, but his gaze didn’t leave her eyes. He reached out to touch her forehead, sensing that her fever had subsided. He breathed a sigh of relief and asked with a slightly hoarse voice, “Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?”

Jing Haohao, who had been asleep for a full day and night, had an empty stomach. She nodded gently in response. Liang Chen quickly stood up, put on his coat, and left Jing Haohao’s home.

About half an hour later, Liang Chen returned with two bags: one containing some light food, and the other with some toiletries and clothes.

Jing Haohao, whose fever had subsided, was still a bit weak and didn’t have much appetite. She ate a little and then put down her chopsticks.

In the evening, fearing that Jing Haohao might suddenly have a fever again, Liang Chen didn’t leave. He took a bath in the bathroom and then lay down on the living room couch.

As Jing Haohao had slept too long, she wasn’t tired at all.

She turned restlessly in her bedroom bed, her mind filled with thoughts of Liang Chen who was lying in the living room.

Finally, she threw off the covers, got out of bed, and ventured out pretending she needed to use the bathroom.

The television in the living room was on but muted, with only the flickering images visible. Liang Chen lay on the couch with his eyes closed, seemingly asleep.

The couch was a bit short, with half of his legs hanging in the air. He was covered with his coat.

Jing Haohao turned around and walked back to her bedroom.
