During his airport wait in Japan, Jing Haohao had lit a faint beacon of hope in his heart, it sometimes felt enough to illuminate his whole world, other times felt dangerously close to extinguishing.
He didn’t plan on giving up, but… his confidence was shaky at best.

After what seemed an unmeasurable amount of time, Jing Haohao stirred from her seat on the sofa. As she looked up, she suddenly realized the room was empty, Liang Chen was no longer there.

When the sudden chime of her cell phone rang out, she got up, trying to shake the numbness from her legs, and walked over to the table to check her phone.
