?Chapter 448: Chapter 449: Relief (1)_1 Chapter 448: Chapter 449: Relief (1)_1 On the man’s face, there was not the slightest reluctance. His brows lightly furrowed, as if in thought. After a while, he said to Nanny Lin, “The Film and Television City is surrounded by mountains. Now it’s summer and there are lots of mosquitoes. Remember to bring a mosquito net for Miss Jing.”
“Oh…” After a pause, he spoke again, “The place there is remote. The transportation is not convenient and it’s not easy to buy things. So, Nanny Lin, you should go with the driver to send Miss Jing. Bring some items that can be stored, such as milk…Uh…To prevent them from going off, buy a small fridge, and bring it for Miss Jing. Help her properly put everything away, and then come back only when you’re sure everything’s fine.”
“Understood, Mr. Chen,” Nanny Lin replied.
Liang Chen nodded. He carefully thought for a moment, seeming to feel that his instructions were comprehensive. He turned his head towards Jing Haohao. Pleasure flickered in his charming eyes, his voice soft, “Haohao, if you need anything or wish to prepare something, just mention it to Nanny Lin.”
Jing Haohao entered the entertainment industry at the age of 14 and had been a part of it for six full years. Although she had Xian’er as her assistant, she couldn’t afford the luxuries of big name stars and had always prepared everything herself.
She did not expect that Liang Chen would take a casual suggestion from her so seriously and arrange everything so well.
Looking at the elegant man with a smile in his eyes, Jing Haohao felt as if a leaf had slowly fallen into the stagnant water of her heart, causing rippling waves that refused to subside.
Liang Chen, noting Jing Haohao’s silence, repressed his smile somewhat. However, his excitement and joy still showed. “Well… if there’s nothing else, I should head to work.”
Jing Haohao, seated in the dining chair, steadily nodded her head.
For a while, Liang Chen sat in silence beside her. Then he finally nodded, stood, and took two steps toward the dining room door. He paused, as though remembering something, and turned back to Jing Haohao—quietly sitting in the dining chair. He softly said, “Haohao, remember to take care of yourself there.”
With her back to Liang Chen, Jing Haohao did not respond verbally, nor did she nod.
She felt as though something was stuck in her throat, unable to describe the feeling.
After a while, she heard the sound of Liang Chen’s footsteps moving away.
Only when the sound of a car starting came from outside the door did Jing Haohao slowly rise from her seat to go upstairs, change clothes, and instruct the driver to take her to the set.
…
By 11 o’clock in the morning, Jing Haohao’s audition was finished.
The production team left for the Film and Television City before noon, instructing the stars to meet there at five in the afternoon.
On the way back to the villa, Jing Haohao called Nanny Lin. When she returned to the villa, Nanny Lin had already prepared everything Liang Chen had instructed her to arrange that morning.
After lunch, Nanny Lin began instructing the housekeepers to put the milk, the mini fridge, the mosquito net, the bed linen, and some daily necessities into the trunk of the car.
While inspecting the items, Jing Haohao saw several packs of sanitary napkins, her usual toothpaste, and facial cleanser in the car.
She was just going to shoot a scene, but the housekeepers in the villa, under Liang Chen’s orders, were bustling around like they were moving house.
Before leaving, Nanny Lin made a call to Liang Chen who meticulously instructed her on the other end. She acknowledged each instruction, and before hanging up, Nanny Lin turned to Jing Haohao, “Miss Jing, wouldn’t you like to say goodbye to Mr. Liang?”
