?Chapter 406: Chapter 407 Finding for Me (5)_1 Chapter 406: Chapter 407 Finding for Me (5)_1 The older sister-in-law’s father soon returned the call.
“Ah Chen, I just asked. Jing Haohao bought a ticket to France, but she didn’t board the plane.”
Didn’t board the plane?
Does that mean she never went to France?
If she didn’t board the plane, where is she now?
Liang Chen felt that things weren’t as simple as he’d imagined. He thanked the man on the other end of the line and hung up.
Liang Chen felt it was like a roller coaster, thrilling and dangerous. He found out that she was supposed to go to France but she didn’t board the plane. Damn, she clearly just wants to make trouble for him!
Thinking of this, Liang Chen lifted his hand and violently threw the phone to the ground. Unsatisfied, he kicked the phone, sending it crashing into the wall and breaking into pieces.
Nanny Lin saw Mr. Chen’s agitation and couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Chen, Miss Jing might just be upset and wanted to clear her head. Don’t worry too much.”
“What made you think I’m worried?” Liang Chen retorted angrily and then sat heavily on the couch.
Worried?
He’s not worried at all.
It’s good that she left–better if she never comes back!
There were never peaceful moments. Now that she’s gone, he might finally get some quiet!
Time ticked by slowly. By midnight, Jing Haohao had not returned home.
The servants hadn’t eaten dinner and stood by, sleepy and hungry, but did not dare to move.
However, Liang Chen enthusiastically stood up, starting to pace restlessly around the room.
Nanny Lin looked on till her eyes hurt and couldn’t help suggesting, “Mr. Liang, shall we notify the police?”
Only then Liang Chen looked at the time. It was past midnight, and it had already been twenty-six hours since she left his company.
A day and a night… It had been that long…
Liang Chen’s face dropped further as a truth he knew but refused to believe materialized. Jing Haohao had really run away…
“Notify the police? Good riddance! I’m tired of her anyway!” Liang Chen spat out, and stormed up to his room, brutally slamming the door shut.
Inside the bedroom, he was alone.
Jing Haohao’s scent still lingered.
Liang Chen sat down on the couch weakly, not bothering to turn on the light, just looking toward the balcony.
The balcony doors were left open. The night wind gently swayed the curtains, reminding him of times when Jing Haohao would quietly sit behind the curtains on the rattan chair.
However, the chair remained empty. Jing Haohao was nowhere in sight.
The rage in Liang Chen’s belly slowly dissipated, uneasiness beginning to stir in his heart.
He knew that she had been considering leaving him. He was afraid she’d leave, so he asked Nanny Lin to keep an eye on her every day.
He never had her secretly followed. If he wanted to, he could have controlled every aspect of her life.
Because he didn’t want to disrespect her like that.
But he never imagined that his respect would drive her away.
She left without hesitation…
How could she be so audacious?
Could it really be as he had guessed? That Jing Haohao had eloped with Shen Liangnian?
