She ripped all the photos into pieces, stuffed them into a large garbage bag, and dragged it out of the apartment.
Jing Haohao always thought she couldn’t let go of Shen Liangnian. Even though Liang Chen forced her to stay by his side, and she had broken up with Shen Liangnian, she always assumed that her heart was with Shen Liangnian.
But when she was crouching on the floor, tearing up the photos that recorded every bit of her past with Shen Liangnian, she felt it wasn’t a big deal.
“Let the old be gone so the new will come.”
Once someone opens their heart, their mood usually improves significantly. However, just as Jing Haohao was dragging the trash bag out of her apartment feeling good, she saw Shen Liangnian, who was smoking with his head down not far away. Her heart, which had just recently begun to relax, instantly shattered.
She didn’t expect to run into Shen Liangnian when she went back to the apartment to take care of some last items.
“Haohao?” Shen Liangnian, who seemed to have been waiting for her, stood upright, put out his cigarette, and called out her name as soon as he saw her.
Jing Haohao suppressed her emotions and acted as if she hadn’t heard Shen Liangnian’s voice. She continued carrying the somewhat heavy trash bag and headed towards the trash can.
Shen Liangnian with his long limbs chased after her, reached out his hand to take the garbage bag from her, “Let me help you.”
Jing Haohao gripped the garbage bag tightly, her eyes slightly cold: “No need.”
Shen Liangnian’s grip on the corner of the trash bag tightened. He looked up at the children running around on the lawn in the distance and the adults watching nearby, then lowered his head, “Haohao, let’s find a place to talk things over.”
“Talk about what? How you cheated with Qiao Wennuan?” Jing Haohao scoffed, “I’m not as free as you are.”
After saying that, she didn’t even glance at Shen Liangnian before preparing to leave.
Shen Liangnian’s hand, which was holding onto the garbage bag, exerted a bit of force and held Jing Haohao back. His eyes were slightly downcast, obscuring his gaze. His voice, however, showed somewhat of a compromise, “Haohao, I’ve been waiting for you here these few days…”
Shen Liangnian paused, his voice dropping down somewhat, “Haohao, you’ve always been in my heart.”
You’ve always been in my heart… What a sweet, honeyed phrase. However, Jing Haohao felt that it was immensely ironic.
She couldn’t help but glare at Shen Liangnian, seething with anger, “Shen Liangnian, what do you mean you’ve always had me in your heart? Don’t you feel disgusting when you say that? I’m disgusted for you.”
