?Chapter 385: Chapter 386 Preparation (4)_1 Chapter 385: Chapter 386 Preparation (4)_1 Every time Nanny Lin answered, it was always “all is well”.

Despite this, Liang Chen still couldn’t settle down and work. In no time, he would be dialing home again. He repeated this pattern until 4 o’clock in the afternoon, when his secretary knocked on the door and walked in, saying, “Mr. Liang, just a reminder that there’s a senior-level meeting in the conference room at 4:30.”

Liang Chen nodded, signifying he’d heard.

The secretary slightly bowed his head, intending not to disturb Liang Chen any further. He was about to walk out when Mr. Liang suddenly spoke, “Hold on a minute.”

“Mr. Liang, is there anything else?”

“Cancel today’s meeting. I have something to deal with and need to go out,” Liang Chen said, standing up and putting on his coat. He then took his phone and car keys and headed straight for the office door.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, Jing Haohao struggled to finish a landscape painting, which looked mediocre, even somewhat ugly. Setting down her brush, she stretched her body. Noticing the sunny outdoors where the gardeners were trimming the lawn and planting greenery in the backyard, she decided to return to the bedroom. She put on a thick coat, went downstairs, and went out.

Nanny Lin was keeping an eye on the kitchen as the staff prepared dinner. Seeing Jing Haohao go downstairs, she quickly instructed the servants with a few commands while craning her neck to see where Haohao was headed. Then, she quickly followed suit and went out as well.

The outside air was refreshing and the plants that had slept all winter in the backyard were beginning to awaken. Some trunks had started sprouting tender buds. Jing Haohao strolled aimlessly around the backyard and, on her way back, she noticed a small white rabbit squatting on the ground, nibbling on some grass.

Perhaps the gardeners in the yard were looking after this little creature. As Jing Haohao approached, the little white rabbit didn’t flee. It simply stared at her with its red eyes for a moment, then calmly continued to nibble at the grass.

Jing Haohao squatted down and gently stroked the small rabbit which nuzzled at her wrist and then scampered away.

Watching the fleeting figure of the little white rabbit, Jing Haohao stood up, about to leave, but felt something hard under her foot.

She looked down, moved her foot aside, and noticed a small stone on the lawn. It looked familiar. Jing Haohao bent over to pick it up and held it in her hand to take a closer look. It was then that she realized, this was the “Stone Story” bracelet that she had worn for a long time.

Jing Haohao looked up and realized that her and Liang Chen’s bedroom was just in this direction. This must be the stone he threw out that night from the balcony.

There were three stones in total.

If one was here, then the other two stones should be around here too.

With this thought, Jing Haohao decided to hunch over and started searching through the grass inch by inch.
