Chapter 344 - 344 345 Search (7)_1

?Chapter 344: Chapter 345 Search (7)_1 Chapter 344: Chapter 345 Search (7)_1 Jing Haohao had no idea how many times that person had wiped her body down, all she felt was an increasing sense of comfort, to the point where she couldn’t stop herself from humming in pleasure.

Upon hearing her sounds, the person leaned in closer, softly asking her, “Haohao, what are you saying? Do you want some water?”

Only then did she realise how parched she’s become—it felt as if her lips were going to crack apart. She ineffectively moved her lips and the person then left her bedside, only to return shortly with a cup of water. They propped her up to drink and she instinctively opened her mouth to gulp it down.

“Do you want more?”

Jing Haohao shook her head and heard the sound of the water cup being gently placed on the table. She was then laid back down onto the soft bed.

Jing Haohao felt much more comfortable, and as she struggled to stay awake, she suddenly felt a burst of warmth. She wanted to remove the blanket but a second later, it was put back on her. She then felt a cold towel placed on her forehead, the cool sensation seeping into her brain, much to her relief, and she finally managed to calm down.

In her drowsy state, she felt the towel on her forehead being replaced several times. She would keep waking up and drifting back off due to her fever but she vaguely recognised the person feeding her a pill. It got stuck halfway and she almost threw it up due to its bitterness, but they held her chin, forcing her to swallow it down.

It wasn’t until dawn that Jing Haohao’s fever finally broke, and she fell into a deep, undisturbed sleep.

Having stayed up all night, Liang Chen finally heaved a long sigh of relief. He lay down next to her, catching some sleep himself.

When Doctor Zhang woke up in the morning, his first move was to check Jing Haohao’s condition. He found that her fever had completely subsided, so he prescribed her some medication, gave Liang Chen instructions for her care, and then excused himself.

Liang Chen responded with a small smile, hanging his head lower as he shifted the conversation, “Uncle Zhang, I’m really sorry for bothering you with this in the middle of New Year’s celebrations. You were up all night because of us.”

“It’s no problem at all. As for you, you’re not getting any younger. It’s about time you should settle down. I must say, I approve of that girl upstairs. When did you start considering it?”

“Oh, Uncle Zhang, why are we circling back to this again? The other day at the old family home, they nearly talked my ear off. ‘The most unfilial act is to die without posterity’. Now you’re joining them as well, starting on me with this the moment you see me!”

“Well, you…,” Doctor Zhang lifted his hand, affectionately patting Liang Chen’s shoulder— but didn’t continue his sentence.

After Liang Chen saw off Doctor Zhang and opened the door to his car for him, he was just about to close it when Doctor Zhang suddenly spoke, “Ah, Chen.”

“Yes?”

“Actually, I meant to ask you something last night during the medical examination, but I’d forgotten about it due to my old age. It only just came back to me.”

“What is it?”

“When you and the girl upstairs are, well, intimate, do you use contraception pills?”

“Contraception pills?” Liang Chen was taken aback.

“Yes, yesterday when I examined her, I found traces of oral contraceptive usage in her system. If you’re not ready to have kids yet, I’d advise it’d be better if you adopt contraception methods yourself, rather than letting her take the pills.”
