Then he turned his attention to the glass of water. He hoisted himself up from the edge of the toilet, turned on the faucet, washed his face, and finally picked up the water that Jing Hao Hao had poured. He took a big gulp, rinsed his mouth and spat, then drank every last drop of the remaining water.
After taking a shower, Liang Chen walked out. His footsteps felt weightless as he staggered to the bed and slumped next to Jing Haohao.
The room was very quiet. From his position on the bed, Jing Haohao could feel the heat radiating from Liang Chen’s body onto her own.
These past days she had been sleeping alone, and might have grown accustomed to it. Suddenly, with the presence of another person, she felt a bit uneasy and couldn’t help but shift towards the other side of the bed.

Not happy?
He had wealth, power, and everything else one could want. The whole of Jiangshan City was his. What could possibly make him unhappy?
Just as Jing Haohao was contemplating this, Liang Chen suddenly rubbed her head with his own and continued, “Seeing you once, longs my longing for you”.

He repeated the sentence two or three times until his voice faded away and was replaced by a steady, heavy breathing.
Jing Haohao stayed still for a while, then stretched out her hand to push Liang Chen away, moving to the other side of the bed.
There was a wide gap between them. Jing Haohao pondered for a while, then slowly drifted off to sleep.

When she awakened the next day, Liang Chen was the only one left in the bed.
