Chapter 96: Lumisight gift

The silhouettes could be seen fighting in the middle of a dojo’s main compound. One of them was a brunette lady with fair, soft skin in a Japanese styled kimono. The other was a shirtless kid with a spear made from blood.
"Again!!" The lady commanded upon seeing the young man rest to catch his breath. He was a blood manipulation magic user like herself, and he needed to learn how to fight like one of them.
"Okay!!" Taking In a deep breath, the young man swung his spear and stabbed at the lady.

(Left, left, right)
(Right, right, left)
(Up, up, down.....so predictable)
The lady said with a great amount of disappointment. This kid was gunta and she was Liana. After realizing that gunta could use blood manipulation magic…one of the rare magics of their clan. Liana decided to train him for a while.
She didn’t think it wise to take him as a student straight away due to the issue with her crippling his father a while ago. It just didn’t feel right.
"Stop." Liana said with some frustration. Gunta could not fight to save his life. It was very disappointing.....
"How you’ve been able to stay alive so long is baffling to me" Liana shook her head. Gunta couldn’t fight at all, he was nothing like his father, the fact that he had been following Leon around all this while with no fighting ability was an enigma.
"Ahhh?" Gunta looked up at her with some embarrassment. He really didn’t know how to fight, he was just good at dodging attacks here and there. But to kill? He had never really done that.
"Sigh," Liana looked at him for a few seconds before turning to look around the compound. There, her eyes landed on Leon’s figure. He, too, like gunta was here to "train" but he spent most of his time looking at spells and practicing alone.
"Alduwin boy, heads up" Liana said causally, then she proceeded to throw out her blood spear directly at Leon.
—whoosh
The spear came barreling towards Leon, and Leon didn’t seem to notice it coming for him. At least that was until.
—Clang
All of a sudden, a bloody serpent construct emerged from his back and stopped the spear mid-flights. Leon then looked over at Liana with a smile.
He was always aware of his surroundings, countless battles at honed him, turning him into a machine. Even though he didn’t quite show it. Leon was always ready for a fight.
"Hmmm" Liana smiled after seeing Leon stop her attack. It was expected of him, but she didn’t stop. Soon another blood spear appeared in her hand.....
—woosh
Liana dashed forward and in an instant she was in front of Leon.
—woovvv
She swung down at Leon with incredible Force, causing a temporary vibration through the air.
— Boom
A small cloud of dust picked up, the force of the strike was much more than that she had used for gunta, here, she was using level 2 strength.
But, even then, it was monstrous, however, as it settled down. Leon was nowhere to be found.
"Good!" Liana said before turning back swiftly.
—Boom
—Boom
—Boom
Leon had dodged the spear and was now attacking Liana with her most beloved spell. The blood serpent extension’s spell.
The snake heads just kept flying, threatening to bite Liana and poison her. But she was well versed with this spell as such. She was able to keep a leveled head while blocking.
(The kid is relentless.)
Liana couldn’t help but muse. Leon had learned this spell just two days ago….and now he was using it with such efficiency and ruthlessness.
(If only you were like that.....)
Liana thought of gunta. If Leon was the one with the blood manipulation magic, she will be immediately accept him as her student. The boy’s talent was just too astounding.....though she could tell that he might not accept.
If not, he wouldn’t have hesitated to spar with her.
"BloodSerpent work: Spear tip projectiles"
Leon took a huge leap backwards and opened fire of Liana. 4 blood serpent constructs on his back stretched forward pointing towards Liana and instantly
—puu!!!
—puu!!!
—puu!!!
They began firing at Liana. A few days here was enough to learn a lot of level 2 spells for Leon. He didn’t have a problem with comprehending and using spells, we just had a lack of Spells. Now with Liana’s Arsenal, he had armed himself to the teeth.
While Liana deflected Leon spells
At the side
Gunta and Arian watched Leon and Liana sparring. She had completely forgotten about Gunta and was happily fighting against Leon. He couldn’t lie, he was a bit sad, but he could understand her feelings.
"He fights like someone years ahead of his time. Even I can’t say I would beat him if we were at the same level.....cheer up" Arian consoled. Leon was a fighting machine, and she had known this for a while now.
The only thing that separated them was their power levels, and even that was being closed by Leon at a rapid stage. There was nothing for gunta to feel bad about.
"You’re right" gunta scratch his head. You would never dream about competing with Leon. He just wasn’t like that, he was mainly angry at himself for not performing well.
"BloodSerpent work: revolving Gatling gun"
Leon stretched his hand forward and chanted. The spell he used this time cause Liana to pause, she did know this one….was it from her spell box or something?
Before her very eyes, The Serpent extensions behind Leon’s back started revolving in the clockwise manner, simultaneously they formulated bloody sphere projectiles before their mouths.
"Let’s see you dodge this" Leon smirked before letting the projectiles fly. Allowing them to revolve gave them a sort of unpredictability.
Liana saw this and frowned. But she didn’t step back or attempt to dodge. She wanted to see where this was going.....

—ving
The projectiles tore through the air and scattered all over the yard. But none actually hit Liana. She just stood there with a look of amusement.
"Ahh, it failed." Liana mocked.....his method was fresh and ’ innovative’ but that didn’t mean it would work. A few days was not enough to do what Leon wanted to do.
Whilst Liana looked at Leon with mockery, she noticed a silhouette not far away with a calm expression on his face. However, there was something odd about this calm.
"Ahhh, shit you fucked up" Liana bit down on her lips with some irritation. The person in front of them was covered in Dust. Dust from one of Leon’s attacks that had damaged a beam in the courtyard.
"What do you mean?" Leon followed Liana’s eyesight and his gaze landed on a fairly tall man with black robe and dark blue hair. Only his hair was covered in Dust.
" Both of you get in here" the man said with a tinge of annoyance in his tone. His words made Leon pause for a second..... Was this a request or a command? The person was ballsy to say such to the infamous blood demon Liana.
"Let’s go" Liana tapped Leon on the shoulder and walked past him. Leon hadn’t met this guy yet, but Gunta had. This was the level 4 warlock that protected Liana before. Bartholomew, otherwise known as The Blue Devil.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
"This kid, you have a giant pair of balls!!!!! You come into my home, make a mess of the place, and now you want to apologize?!!!! Who the fuck do you think I am"
From outside, a particular room in the Japanese styled courtyard/ dojo. The sound of a man berating could be clearly heard vibrating through the Halls.
Inside the room, Leon could only stare with widen sockets. This guy placed all the blame on him when clearly Liana had attacked him first.
What was he supposed to do? Keep quiet and let her beat him up?
Leon looked over at Liana with the sides of his eyes to see a bitter smirk on her face. Bartholomew was hot-tempered but never with her. He knew she would respond immediately as she too was quite hot tempered.
It wasn’t like she was anywhere near him in terms of power. She was just not afraid to have a go at him with all she had.
"I....." Leon was confused to say the least. But after a few seconds of Bartholomew going off at him for no apparent reason, he stopped and down a cup of tea like it was liquor.
"How did you get the lumisight Eyes?" Bartholomew asked. Clearly, these weren’t the eye types for warlocks.....there was no way a warlock would have that normally.
"I stole them from Anan Dalriss" Leon replied causally. If he was working in the realm of a mage or a member of the faceless mercenary company. They would just believe that he was lucky and got those eyes from birth. But since warlocks couldn’t generate them naturally and everyone here knew he was a member of the blood serpent clan.
There was no excuse he could come up with.
