Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 909 909: Endlessly jealousy

Chapter 909 909: Endlessly jealousy

Isa's decision to intervene despite her long absence from battles came from the urgent need to prevent the dragons from winning the ongoing war. She recognized the nature of the conflict, especially considering the potential consequences if the water dragons emerged victorious that day.

Her concern for the survival of Seadrei, the former sea emperor, and the overall outcome of the war drove her to action.

Despite her impactful involvement and display of power, Isa's subsequent behavior surprised many. Rather than continuing to actively participate in the battle or remain involved in the planning, she returned to her tent and resumed her usual laid-back relaxing activities.

This unexpected shift puzzled those around her, as they anticipated her continued participation after witnessing her abilities and their positive effects on the situation.

Seara, while grateful for Isa's aid that ultimately helped her father, couldn't help but feel suspicious about Isa's sudden arrival on the conflict. She had doubts about Isa's motivations, considering the possibility that Isa chose to intervene due to Rain's presence or some similar reason.

This suspicion arose from the contrast between Isa's impactful intervention and her subsequent return to idleness, creating uncertainty about her true intentions and level of commitment to the ongoing battle.

"I bet she wants to impress you…" Seara said.

"Drop that already…" Rain said and then sighed. "At this point in time, I am more tired than impressed… I can't let this conflict keep going forever. Killing Iori will do the trick, but it won't be easy using simple tricks. I guess I will have to lure him out somehow… while using his hatred against me."

"That seems like the best option, but I can't see you winning against that guy… he defeated Dad, after all," Seara said. "You have some tricks up his sleeve, but that isn't enough…"

Seara was being realistic… Rain was weaker than Seadrei, the difference in strength should have decreased a lot, if it weren't for the fact that he used Parameter Boost on him. Regardless, a battle didn't have to be a dick measuring contest all the time, the big brain is also an important part of the result.

"Do you have any plans?" Seara asked.

"It will be better if I face him directly without any tricks, that way, he will feel compelled to fight me until the end," Rain said. "Once that happens, I will be able to take the armor and the water dragons will retreat since we will have all of the three relics."

"I was talking about a more direct plan to win against him," Seara said. "Like a new special technique that will kill him in one blow."

"I wish that I could have that, I should be able to win against him after exactly ten minutes of fighting, though," Rain explained.

A Matter of Skill would help a lot to win the fight, but again. It will be difficult to keep the skill active for that long without taking a single hit. If he doesn't attack, the enemy will get suspicious as well.

Rain assumed that he should create an Armor of crystal around his body and then reveal his face to Iori, that should do the trick. While the crystal creation skill already reached the max level, all of the relics were bathed in the dragon's blood during the attack, so they gained a lot of power and so did their effects. Even though these annoying guys were acting like that wasn't the case.

"Defeat that human without help and you will have my power," that dark ominous woman's voice suddenly echoed in the area.

"Who was that? Where did that voice came from?" Seara asked after she raised her guard.

"It is a long boring story… it is better if we don't talk about it," Rain said.

"Tell me, I don't want you hiding anything from me, even more so if women are related," Seara said while showing a crazy look in her eyes.

Rain found himself sighing in exasperation as he realized that Seara's behavior was thanks to his own actions. Understanding that he played a role in triggering Seara's intense changes for disappearing for one hundred years, he couldn't entirely blame her for becoming a bit of a yandere.

Though he didn't find the crazed look in her eyes particularly frightening, it did raise some concerns about her state of mind.

In an effort to alleviate her distress and clarify the situation, Rain decided to explain the secret of the relics and the spirits to Seara. Understanding the gravity of the circumstances and the impact his revelations might have on her, he took the initiative to provide her with insight into these aspects.

This explanation aimed not only to inform her but also to offer a sense of reassurance and understanding in the midst.

"I want to see them," Seara said. "Just to be sure."

Rain wanted to say that it was a massive waste of time, but arguing with Seara wouldn't help… it was pity, but he reached a point in their relationship where he could yield all the time until he became completely whipped. In any case, after a few attempts, Seara was able to find herself in Rain's mental landscape and frowned since she didn't feel like her body was actually there.

Eventually, Seara found the rooms of the people there and eventually found everyone. They all ignored her since they knew that Rain would get pissed if they tried to talk to her.

"The fact that they are silent only makes you look more suspicious," Seara raised her left eyebrow.

"It is impossible to reason with your jealousy, so I won't even try," Rain shrugged.

"So… in that room is the spirit of the weapon that Isa gave you… why would she give you such a dangerous thing?" Seara asked.

"Because she is madless in love with me, at least according to your jealousy," Rain said, and then he got punched in the gut."Violence isn't the answer, but in the end, it has to be this way."
