ch92 so far.Started out pretty good but the MC is turning out to be a rather weak and spineless girl, yet still portrayed as being this strong and confident woman. Mostly she just seems like she's a sheltered, overdramatic teen that's does whatever her family tells her to.Same with her father figure. He's supposed to be this capable and intelligent CEO but acts like a wimp around the women in his life.And I don't mean that he's not acting like an overbearing chauvinistic ass. I mean he just wilts in front of the females in his life and pampers them.But he also has moments when he chews out his daughters? I don't know. It's not consistent. I'll see how it goes.
Up to book2, ch47.The anime is strong in this one. Also a lot of unnecessarily repeated information. Sometimes within the same paragraph-long phrase.It's not as bad as kidian/webnovel garbage filler novels but it's pretty consistent nonetheless.Story is alright but the repetition is getting pretty annoying. And yes, the trope of girls and shopping is living well in here despite her ostensibly hating such things. And she said the equivalent of "f#ck the poor" lol. Such a shallow character. I'm just in it for the action and system at this point.

Neat story, worth a read.Not filled with the obverse, all-too-common comedy tropes that typically grace the [Comedy] tag, nor is the story and characters based solely on jokes.Rather, the novel employes casual humor in measured doses. Honestly, it's not much different from most novels without the [Comedy] tag. It just doesn't take itself as seriously as those whose themes aren't suitable for comedy or focus on MC's who are too proud, dignified or serious to laugh at anything but the enemies they grind beneath their boots.Instead, this novel is better described by the action, adventure, and slice of life tags.

Fantastic story, writing and worldbuilding. Very unique. Very immersive.Although the colloquial terms might be confusing at first, they very much add flesh to the dystopian hellscape the story inhabits.Speaking of flesh, this is a very gory story and with a lot of descriptive killing. Def not for the faint of heart.My advice to the less experienced readers struggling with the words: just accept that you don't know what it means and ride it out. Context will define them for you as you continue reading.Also, the first few chapters are tougher to get through and understand than all the rest. Don't worry about that. Just push through till he wakes up clueless and everything will start making sense. The story is very much worth it.As far as writing proficiency and uniqueness on this site, this novel is in a class far above like 95% of everything else.

There is exploration of the internal landscape, but its minimal. The strength of the story is in its exploration of the world and the social interactions between dragons and other species.Good points: Its refreshing. The author creates an entire world around the story's protagonist. The story doesn't sugarcoat the Dragon Supremacy culture. The ultra rigid society reminds this reader of Sparta: only the strongest and most fit survive. Everyone else is a rival, a source of food, or a pest. Dragons are not human. They don't have human morals. The reader will find brutality but discovery as well. The protagonist might, eventually, have moments of insanity some will confuse with mercy.Bad Points: The prose and style. I kid you not. The prose is something written with no care to style. It is beyond amateur and more than a little lazy. As/while conjunction abuse, rigid structure, telling vs showing, gerunds, bloating (excessive wordiness for simple concepts), lack of significant description, Point of View bouncing, tense slips, passive voice vs active voice, basic orthography, punctuation, etc. In fact, this work doesn't miss a single bump. It holds on to literary problems like an alcoholic to Jack Daniels.1. As/While abuse. As/while subordinate conjunctions are abused in order to speed the narrative along without care for how many times they are repeated. There are other words out there.2. Rigid structure. The style has a general repetitive sentence structure. 'Subordinate conjunction, Independent clause.'Example: "As I thought about what to do, I started yawning." as opposed to "I yawned and considered my options."Feel the weight of the sentence in your head. It isn't pleasant. This particular style controls most of the narrative. It repetition becomes a problem and might put-off many a reader. If something is important enough to be included in a story (subordinate conjunction), it could be separated into its own independent clause (independent clause).3. Gerunds. I won't teach basic creative writing here. Do a search in Google for "Gerunds in prose." Let's just say that the general rule (and all rules are meant to be broken when one knows what they are doing) is to NOT use them. Gerunds, combined with as/while repetition AND subordinate conjunctions are a pain to read.4. PoV problems. Point of Views are tricky. Most fiction is written in 3rd Person Limited PoV or 1st Person PoV. I've seen, rarely, a well conducted 3rd Person Omniscient PoV that slips through with almost no issues.Example: 1st person: I breathed fire. My right claw rended through eldritch flesh.Example: 3rd Person Limited: Terrac breathed fire. His right claw cleaved through eldritch flesh.Example: 3rd Person Omniscient (Multiple views) : Terrac breathed fire (1). The eldritch horror was terrified (2 and Telling). Sparky the dog wanted to pee (3), but he barked at both the dragon and the eldritch horror with brave stupidity. Unknown to all three of them (Sub conjunction), the loss of any of them would disrupt reality. (Ind. Clause). (God/Author PoV)An author must try to limit 3rd Person Omniscient to subtle shifts, otherwise it feels clumsy and harms a story's pacing.5. Telling vs showing. Yes the story has this problem in spades. Telling is direct and (if not given enough thought) lazy. Showing is INDIRECT. It is also, in most cases, wordier but builds better, flows better.Example Telling: Adeline was cold.Example showing: Adeline shivered.Example showing with details: Adeline shivered despite the heavy winter coat.6. Began to. Started to. Seems to. Appears to. I might despise As/while subordinate conjunction abuse but "began/started to/seems to" bloating and ambiguity is up there. These phrases are used by authors to organize their thoughts. They are unnecessary preambles to other clauses in a sentence. Remove them from the prose except in specific contexts.Example: Terrac began to consider the possibilities of murder as Arnold rambled on, convinced of his own importance.Example WITHOUT the bullcrap: Arnold rambled on, convinced of his own importance. Terrac pondered abject murder.Notice that I used 3rd Person omniscient, but it feels like 3rd Person limited. Terrac observing Arnold. That's subtle manipulation of prose and style. Notice that I removed the as/while conjunction. Notice that the "Began to" preamble is gone. Notice that I am TELLING instead of Showing, but the prose isn't harmed by the choice because one sentence has long phonetic prosody and the other is short and to the point. More importantly, the details provide an understanding of the characters and aren't boring. One is a snotty jackarse. The other might be a snarky SoB or, in truth, a cold blooded murderer. I don't have the patience to detail examples of all the other problems in this work. This isn't a creative writing class. Let's leave this at the point that I am EXTREMELY displeased with the rough prose because the story has great potential. This work can be much, much better.2.5 / 5 stars. Fifty percent. Not high enough to be average, not low enough for complete anonimity.

I like mc who are in control of their own action, here mc seems to be heavily influnenced by his instinct so much so that his past life as human have little to no effect. It could just be a stroy of normal dragon and say they gain sentient at birth which would've been more interesting.

6/10 above avgAverage score in writing in every front across the board except one. Pacing is done relatively well. However the consistent avg writing has its own charm as this put more enphasis on the story contents instead of tasteless gripes.
Don't know why. But the author flipped the MCs character 180, seeing humans as cancer to be terminated to saying the humans were salvageable race and they have great potential. mcs only a few years old and thats coming from a long lived race, thoughts turn in a dime; perpective constantly rearranging. Some may call it growth but i think its better apt to say mcs perspective has yet to settle.his previous life memory only serves to confuse him, as its made clear he rather abandones them naturally and fully embrace exploration of his current life and priveleges.eg. near the beginning he was taught through circumstance, body language, and attitude that dragons are the best and above everything else by his father and grandfatgers influence. When he meets his grandmother he realize this thought isnt the same for all dragons so his limiter was released and ask himself what he truely thinks. He proceeded in exploring and dropped the heavy emphasis perspective on any particular race and begins to evaluate them himself in a clean slate.

The MC is just a human in a Dragon form. At first he was like 'dragons are supreme and above all', but suddenly, after just a few line of dialogue with his grandma, he does a complete 180. He showed no signs of regret or guilt (after wiping out a whole kingdom), or at least not enough to justify the sudden flip in opinion. I guess this is as generic as it gets. 7.5/10

I've read some of the Pokemon stories here to try something different from the usual regressing/transmigrating/reincarnating/cultivation/fantasy novels that have filled my story library. But when they try to make them realistic they often miss the mark significantly and ruin it.But this... This is a well thought love song to the Pokemon world. It blends reality seamlessly into the original charm so that it feels like it comes to life. It's got enough of the gritty side to be just realistic enough to pull off the warm environment evoked by the setting.There is romance, at first it seems like it might be a harem but no, his significant other is not going to be permitting that in just the perfect hint of Yandere fashion appropriate to her character.The MC isn't perfect, but in spite of that he is well enough written that it just feels appropriate without becoming annoying and you can really taste how the transmigrator blended into Brock's original personality.Do yourself a favor, give it a read, it's worth the time spent at least to the current posted chapter 159.

It's really good. Though for me personally, I didnt like it that MC was brock because it messes up lots of things for the anime plot, A rock type specialist isnt my cup of tea either. Story Development- there really isnt much I think. The novel starts when Brock has already established himself, even becoming stronger than champion Lance. Well, his family drama did make it more interesting. Characters- The characters are well thought of. It gives more substance. Even the new brock, just the new personality he has made it interesting. Though I wasnt that much excited because Im not very much interested on a rock type specialist, I still think its very awesome. I hope though that in this story, he doesnt go travelling with Ash. If possible, he travels alone and strengthen his pokemon more because theres so much potential in this story. Wished i could read more. I give it a 4.7/5

Actually, it's a very nice take on Brock's life, how he is to be a Gym Leader, sibling/father of 9 others, an engine for his town, a great trainer, and still find his own place in it all.This Brock is intelligent, not lustful, is realistically a great trainer and gym leader, and a caregiving father figure. So I think the character has been chosen well for this story, nowhere else in Pokemon do you have a character so good to write about, so rich in backstory. The anime just failed him. Here is his rightful story.
Yeah sure but this is interesting is it not? We're not reading MC as Ash any other characters. We're reading MC as Brock a popular and cool character from the Pokémon Franchise. It's interesting to see how everything will play out as MC has knowledgeable of the Games( Strategies and what not), Animes, and the Comics. Why!? Why do people combine things that DON'T NEED TO BE COMBINED
Well, let's get started with this review. First of all, I would like to point out that I will not talk about the quality of the text or its spelling. My level of English is mediocre and I rely on my friend Google to translate. So I'm the last person who can criticize this kind of thing. I will only speak here about my opinion of the story. We therefore follow Jerry in the Marvel world having a system which allows him to travel to several worlds (HP being simply the first of them). This is a decent fanfiction for those new to the genre or if you want to pass the time. But let's look for what I think are flaws for the pickiest among you.The MC gets strong too fast. Indeed Jerry will travel to several worlds, but each of these worlds will be too weak to constitute a real threat to him. Moreover, many of these worlds are not very interesting.Magic not exploited enough. The MC initially has HP magic, one of the most malleable among the magical universes. I expected more innovation in his magic spells. Too bad that most of the time he just copies existing spells. Magic is as versatile as technology, it's a shame not to exploit this potential.A poorly operated system. The system has no problem in itself, just that it is poorly used by the author. Indeed, the system of this novel simply aims at dimensional transport between different worlds, but also the possibility of consuming points (called Stars in the book) to facilitate the learning of magic. The problem here is that the MC only uses his points when reading books, making Jerry's progress boring to follow. I can't repeat it enough, but in a novel whose theme is the increase in strength of its MC, you have to make his way of progressing in strength interesting to read. For example, between an MC who only reads magic books to become stronger and an MC who must research magic to become stronger, we guess which one is more interesting to follow.A fishtail ending. I understand that Jerry becomes too strong at the end so that it is no longer interesting to follow him having adventures like this. But this is not an excuse to botch an ending. The author could have given us the identity of the person who gave the system to Jerry, there is no need to experience adventure for that. It feels like the author cut the story short before it was finished. Now let's talk about the last problem, a recurring problem with most fanfiction, at least that's my opinion. I'm taking advantage of my review here to talk about it:The MC's personality is not suited to the work used in the fanfiction. Let me explain, there are several types of MC, the selfish, the vigilant, the cheeky, the lazy, the cautious, ... In short, there is no shortage of types. In normal novels, the personality of the MC is adapted to his universe (For example a selfish MC will tend to live in a world where the majority is selfish, the most obvious example are Chinese martial arts novels where everyone world is selfish).But fanfiction works differently. The world used in a fanfiction does not belong to the author. So in principle the author of a fanfiction must adapt the MC personality to the type of universe borrowed in his story. For example, take the world of the anime Fairy Tail, it's a story that promotes friendship and family. If you put a selfish MC in that kind of world, he'll be a stain. Faced with Fairy Tail characters who act out of justice and friendship, an MC who only acts out of profit will seem petty compared to them. And a fan fiction reader will make this comparison unconsciously, and will end up not liking the MC.In addition to seeming petty, this will create a barrier between the MC and the world characters used in the fanfiction. This time let's take the example of Jerry in the Marvel universe. Jerry and a selfish MC type, although he can easily help in a situation, he will rarely do so without being able to gain something in return or if it doesn't earn a star for his system. Result, in a universe where each hero acts in the name of justice, we have Jerry who only acts for profit, he does not save others out of kindness, but only because it benefits him. So, no matter how badass and powerful Jerry is, we compare him to characters like Iron Man, Thor or Captain America, who are weaker, but who are full of ideals and who save others without asking for anything in return. , Jerry comes across as a mean-spirited cheapskate with a narrow view of the world. In short, we are not particularly attached to him. I therefore find that Jerry's personality is not suited to this fanfiction, which I find a shame. In conclusion, a decent fanfiction for those who can accept some imperfection. I think it's an ideal novel to pass the time when you have nothing left to read. I hope I have enlightened you, wishing you a good reading. (I would like to point out that I read the entire novel on another site, so this review was written after my full reading.)

Novel is so so, nothing to brag about. I had to ignore some of MC's decision making and constant plot armor to even continue reading. His university life is pretty boring, so if you skipped a couple chapters here and there you wouldn't really be missing anything. There's a few things I have a beef with. MC should never have brought his 10yr old sister with him. Leaving her with the Lu family is the most reasonable and safer route. MC has been in a lot of life and death situations but when he gets interrogated by authorities his cool and calm attitude is gone, and reverts back to your average wimpy 19yr old. The only good trait about MC is he puts in the work.
As of chapter 330The characters are well done, story is great but a slow burn for major stuff which isn't bad, romance is believable and the mc is realistic.The MCs blessing has upsides but its downsides are near crippling and he has to find ways around it to be able to fight at all.SpoilerMC seems to have an advantage with summoning magic for reasons not yet divulged, only thing I found grating but hopefully they have decent reasoning behind it.

8/10 - Very nice, slightly wholesome K-drama-esque novel. Slow burn, well written, thought out characters. I'm sure there will be some anger at the FMCs actions at various times, but due to the character building, their actions become more understandable and palatable for people in their positions. I would recommend this as a good slow-burn romance novel. I have read the MTL to chapter 120 and so this review is of the state of the novel at that point and not presently at 37 chapters translated and edited.

Got around 20 chapters in, so not very far, but also more than just a surface impression:The story has many time jumps going back to a past, an alternative timeline etc and I had a very hard time keeping track of things. It doesn't start off that way, but once you get properly introduced to the characters it just keeps happening and at this point I just have no clue, what timeline I am in. It is just an another average novel that you have dropped at some point. A dense protagonist surrounded by women, he has to save the world but,... Fill the blanks and write your novel. His 'but' is that he has to be the second runner in everything to push the real hero forward. That reason became stale and repetitive, and after some time his reason to be the second seat should have disappeared but it did not. Author tried to make MC irritable then immediately drop it. Him being second ranker, him being around student council hottie, him being around princess, him having a genius student at his beck and call does not arouse interest in others somehow.There are not many unique things to the story. An academy, empty power ups, some oohs and aahs and that's all really.

Exam season, so here's a quick five-chapter review.The tag isn't there because the scenes aren't anywhere but the author's patreon, but this is very much an 18+ novel, so let that realign your expectations before diving in.The premise is alright so far, and the MC's okay; bland in my opinion, and he doesn't really seem the type I'd enjoy reading about, but he has a distinct personality and that works, even if I feel he's a bit dull.The writing is- choppy. There's lots of exposition and the prose doesn't flow so much like gentle water as it does like pebbles tumbling down a cliffside. It's not bad per-say, but I can imagine it getting grating the more you read. There's lots of telling with very little to break it up, and the narration itself isn't entertaining enough to make up for that. Still, it's a lot better than I was expecting, with readable sentences and decent descriptions.The dialogue is just fine; the usual sorta messy banter that probably reads better in the original language. The characters themselves are distinct so far, which makes up for that, but whether or not they remain one-note stereotypes or are improved beyond that; it's honestly kinda impossible to tell.We've seen the premise before and the world is your standard VR thing, so this is a story that'll probably depend on the actual plot development and how that simple idea is developed. I'd say the characters would carry this, but I can't imagine any of the characters introduced thus far being able to do that.Overall, a lot better than I was expecting it to be, but sort of hampered by the writing style and the boring main character. Give it a shot, a solid high-6ish out of ten, might reach a 7 if it improves.My synopsis;NPC-VR novel with the MC's main goal being escape. Strength development probably won't play a big part for the MC himself and there is some sort of system that hasn't done much except give him quests and rewards. Seemingly might give him access to more and more 'player' abilities. No consequences to turning the system down so far. Smart-ish, powerful MC, plus a tower to climb except they aren't stuck inside it.Give it a shot if that sounds like your thing!

Just read 3 chapters and I don't understand how can MC be so dumb this early.He says all the elites and other disciples of the sect died and the remaining ones are only children who knows nothing about the sect. And fast forward a hundred years later...he is surprised why the sect has declined. It doesn't take a lot to find the reason why it declined u dumb f#ck.
I think its because he thought they would at least have their knowledge of the techniques. If they had the techniques the sect wouldnt have dropped which is evidence of the later chapters when they do get those techniques back

The chances are very low. Regardless of what he does, Chung myung is often portrayed as a true Taoist at heart..there are very low chances that he will allow someone to enter his heart.

My review is based on the webtoon/manga so it may be different for the novel.Honestly it's refreshing to see smthg new such as this, player summoned as a character in a game played by an normal human on earth trope.The beginning of the story is slow but later it'll get better even if it's still not that fast, plotwise it's interesting while MC is given a clear goal to survive but also find out why he was sent here (NB: He was one of the strongest player of the game before being summoned) in this game where if your character die, they rly die so he need to somehow find a way to let his "owner" play smart and not recklessly.The major party of the story will be about his party going through each stage clearing it with ease at first and later struggling with the fight being longer and following a lore explained by the MC while he's also discovering new thing bout it via a summoned character perspective.For the side character only those in MC party will be developed but the other "gacha" summoned character who are mostly 1/2 stars are most of the time off screen or there just to get headache to MC.The story is very similar to a gacha game with a tower to clear each stage and building to get effect and ofc p2w pack lol.Anyways it's a pretty good webtoon/manga idk novel but it may be better. So def recommend it if you're interested.
