?Chapter 209: Chapter 209 Get Out of Here_1 Chapter 209: Chapter 209 Get Out of Here_1 “Half an hour is way too long. What’s the rush?” Mo Huasong rolled his eyes in annoyance at Xiao Jie. “I can get you to the venue in no time.”
Xiao Jie gritted her teeth in irritation at Mo Huasong. “All you do is boast, can’t you tone it down a bit? Be quick about taking me to the venue. When we get there, I’ll have them smooth things over for me. Being late is better than not being there.”
She was utterly helpless against this infuriating man.
After all, his family runs the concert company. Let those people deal with it.
Without another word, Mo Huasong grabbed Xiao Jie’s hand and started moving towards the exit.
With her hand in Mo Huasong’s large one, Xiao Jie’s heart was pounding like mad.
Why couldn’t she pull herself together? What was so special about him? Calm down, she reminded herself. Calm down.
Xiao Jie sneakily glanced up at Mo Huasong and, upon discovering that he was only looking ahead and paying no attention to her, she felt a sense of relief.
If he noticed her awkwardness, he would surely tease her again for being “flat-chested and brainless.”
What was she lacking? Xiao Jie held her chest out a bit more.
Once they ventured outside, Mo Huasong stopped and just stood there.
Lost in her thoughts, Xiao Jie didn’t even notice and walked right into him.
“Ouch,” she exclaimed, feeling as if she had just collided with a solid wall.
Upon seeing Xiao Jie stumble backward after bumping into him, Mo Huasong quickly reached out and caught her in his arms.
“Let, let go of me,” Xiao Jie said weakly.
Mo Huasong didn’t say anything. Instead, he just held her tighter and shot up into the sky.
He had been waiting for this time of night. When it’s pitch black outside, no one would be able to notice them flying through the air.
“Ah, are we really in the sky?” Xiao Jie screamed, taken aback.
Thankfully they were still in the courtyard, otherwise they would have attracted the attention of outsiders.
“Stupid woman, why are you screaming? Didn’t you ask me to take you to the stadium?” Mo Huasong glared at Xiao Jie.
“But, weren’t we supposed to drive there?” Supported by Mo Huasong’s strong arms, Xiao Jie felt even weaker, collapsing entirely against him.
If she wasn’t clinging onto him, wouldn’t she fall and die from such a height?
Feeling the fear kick in again as she realized they were in the air, Xiao Jie grew tense.
“Relax, you won’t fall. If you’re scared, close your eyes.” Mo Huasong activated his True Qi, and the two of them soared forward like a shooting star.
“I’m not scared”, Xiao Jie slowly opened her eyes, the presence of Mo Huasong beside her was enough to calm her fears.
But they were moving so quickly that the wind was too strong for her to even keep her eyes open.
Before she knew it, everything in front of her seemed to blur, and soon enough, Xiao Jie found herself back in her familiar dressing room.
“We’ve arrived. There’s still half an hour left, so you’re not late.” Mo Huasong released his hold on Xiao Jie’s slender waist.
Xiao Jie glanced at her watch in astonishment. “What? Only one minute has passed. That’s impossible. Your home is far away from here.”
“Once again proving your lack of brains, this is a cultivation technique. And you simply refuse to learn. Su Weidong is way better than you.” Mo Huasong rolled his eyes at Xiao Jie.
“I have two servings of milk pudding every day, I’ve grown.” Xiao Jie puffed out her chest a bit more.
Truth be told, there was no exaggeration in her claim; she was not lacking in that department. She was just slightly smaller than Mu Fanxuan.
The sight of her perfect curves, so enticing, was enough to elicit a reaction from Mo Huasong. From his nose came a hint of warmth, as though something hot was about to flow out.
“Ah, you’re bleeding from your nose!” Xiao Jie exclaimed, staring in shock at Mo Huasong’s nose.
“You’re seeing things. Call me after you’re done with the show.” In an embarrassed retreat, Mo Huasong quickly made his exit.
Gazing at Mo Huasong’s trepid retreat, Xiao Jie couldn’t help but stifle a giggle. Her sparkling laughter radiated enchanting ebullience.
Backstage, there was a designated rest area for VIP guests where Mo Huasong took a seat in a corner.
The head of the performance company spotted the Crown Prince and promptly showered him in solicitude, only to be waved away by Mo Huasong.
The manager explained that the VIP area was set up to accommodate major sponsors who provide significant funding. It was customary for sponsors to meet and chat with the big stars.
Of course, it was essentially a meet and greet; no inappropriate fraternizing was allowed as bodyguards were stationed all around.
Just as Mo Huasong was settling into his cultivation, a group of men and women walked in.
Upon entering, they started to chat and snack in the middle of the sitting area.
“Young Master Ma, you’re becoming more and more untouchable now; you’ve got the backing of a superior person. No one dares offend you in Zhanshai City.” A young man wearing a suit grinned enticingly at another.
The man being spoken to was none other than Ma Jun. The other popstar ladies who were invited to brighten Xiao Jie’s concert tonight were the reason these men were here. After their performances, these guys would invite them out to late-night suppers and whatnot.
If the amount of money they forked over was satisfactory, the ladies would undoubtedly return the favor later that night.
“Really? Young Master Ma, support me more in the future. I want to hold a grand concert like Xiao Jie too.” A handsome female pop star beside Ma Jun gushed excitedly. Clinging to Ma Jun’s arm, she pressed up against him with her breast.
As to be expected, Ma Jun was pleased with the attention and his eyes lit up. “Sure, why not? I’m not boasting but in Zhanshai City, I’m only second to the Crown Prince himself.”
“Oh, we all know how it is. Our family elders even tell us to get close to this superior person for our own good. But it’s a pity, this superior person only shows favor to Young Master Ma.” The young man sighed faintly.
“Brothers, don’t worry, as long as you stick with me, I’ll take care of you.” Ma Jun declared proudly, “In Zhanshai City, who else can act tough with me around?”
With inconspicuous fumbling, Ma Jun began fondling the female popstar’s waist, and she let him, making Ma Jun secretly giddy with glee.
It appeared as though he could play around with this pop star tonight.
No matter how famous the female stars were, they were all within his grasp as long as he was willing to spend money.
“Ma Jun, shut your damn mouth. Get lost.” Mo Huasong, disturbed by Ma Jun’s increasing noise which had interrupted his practice, snapped angrily.
“What?” The young men were wide-eyed in shock.
They had just been praising how respectful everyone in Zhanshai City was to Young Master Ma, and how anyone disrespecting him was asking for a death wish.
And now, in front of all of them, someone had dared to cuss at Ma Jun. It was a slap in their faces.
No longer holding back his anger, Ma Jun’s face turned green. “Who the hell cursed at me? I’m gonna make sure your future generations pay for it.”
As Ma Jun fumed, he turned to look at the inconspicuous man in the corner.
“Yeah, Young Master Ma, we’ll help you teach him a lesson. We won’t stop until he’s dead.” The other young men saw this as an opportunity to curry favor with Ma Jun and jumped at the chance.
