Time passed by, and many more NPC cities were conquered by the Colossus. The conquered cities were quickly assimilated as part of the Colossus Territory. 

Players who failed to defend their respective cities were officially penalized and given heavy debuff. 

However, that wasn't even the end of their penalty. 

All their developed relationships with NPCs had turned negative, with many of them receiving a negative value rapport status.

Since their relationship was now negative, it would remain there despite migrating to another city. 

It would take them months to even turn the value to neutral. Of course, that was due to the increased difficulty as well as the reduced amount of quests available for them to take.

When such an immense downfall hit, it wouldn't be a surprise that many of them might turn to Bounty Tag Players. 

That was the main effect of the major event. The Divine World wished to send a message that one's position and status could easily change in a matter of seconds.
