?Chapter 696: Chapter 697 Regret (9)_1 Chapter 696: Chapter 697 Regret (9)_1 Jing Haohao put Liang Chen’s toiletries on top of the box, sealed it with tape, and moved it to the door, ready to throw it all away the next day.

Jing Haohao didn’t go to bed until early morning, but, thinking about the appointment with Miss Su, she didn’t sleep comfortably. Yet, she woke up at ten o’clock sharp.

She dressed up early and tidied herself up, then sat on the edge of her bed and started to space out. After a while, she walked over to a nearby cabinet, picked up a key, unlocked it, and took out the bank card of Liang Chen from inside.

Ever since she saw the balance in his account that day, she feared losing it, and since then, she had never used it again. She had neatly kept it in this drawer.

Jing Haohao put the card in her wallet. Before leaving, she saw Liang Chen’s things that she had packed the night before. She bent down and picked it up to throw them away, but in the end, she couldn’t bear to do so. She put them back where they were and left home.

Jing Haohao’s salary was paid in cash. She went to a bank, put Liang Chen’s card in an ATM, withdrew one thousand yuan, and deposited it into the account. She then took out the card and hailed a taxi to go meet Miss Su as per the date.

Although it was Saturday, Liang Chen was still working overtime at the company.

Since most of the employees were not at work, the company seemed somewhat deserted. Liang Chen finished reviewing the last document, leaned on his chair tiredly, massaged his eyebrows, and then his mobile phone placed on the desk suddenly rang.

It was his private phone.

The first thought that came to his mind was Jing Haohao, so he quickly picked up the phone. But, the message he saw was from the bank.

The bank card he had given to Jing Haohao, now had a deposit of one thousand yuan.

Without thinking, he knew it was Jing Haohao who made the deposit.

This was the first message related to Jing Haohao he had received in the past half month.

However, for him, it wasn’t a piece of good news.

She previously withdrew one thousand yuan, and now she had deposited one thousand yuan again. What did that mean?

Liang Chen spent the entire afternoon thinking about this.

Miss Su and Jing Haohao had lunch together, and when it was time to pay the bill, Jing Haohao insisted on paying.

She handed her bank card to Miss Su, thanked her again, and then said goodbye to Miss Su before leaving.

Although Miss Su did not know what had happened between Jing Haohao and Liang Chen, she knew that this card of Liang Chen had a lot of money in it. She didn’t dare to carry it around until Monday to give to Liang Chen, so she called Liang Chen right after she had separated from Jing Haohao.

Miss Su drove to the Jiangshan Group. She took the elevator to the top floor and went straight to Liang Chen’s office.

Through the glass, Miss Su saw Liang Chen holding a cup of coffee, staring out of the window in a daze.

She raised her hand, knocked softly on the door, and upon hearing a “come in” from inside, she pushed the door open and walked in.

Liang Chen swiveled in his chair to face Miss Su, put down his coffee cup, and asked, “Why did you call me?”

Miss Su walked over reverently, took a bank card out of her bag, and handed it to Liang Chen, saying: “Miss Jing asked me to give you this card.”

Liang Chen’s eyes sharply fell on the bank card in Miss Su’s hand. His brow furrowed slightly, and then he suddenly looked up at Miss Su, and asked again: “Did Jing Haohao ask you to give me this bank card?”
