?Chapter 668: Chapter 669 Girlfriend (1)_1 Chapter 668: Chapter 669 Girlfriend (1)_1 His grip on the steering wheel grew tighter and tighter, his chest beginning to heave uncontrollably.

Always appearing supremely confident and assertive in all matters, the only exception was Jing Haohao, she was the one thing in which he never held any confidence.

What he feared was not Shen Liangnian as an individual, but the bright youthful years he shared with Jing Haohao in the past decade.

Shen Liangnian was like a thorn in his heart. Any current relationship he had with Jing Haohao, no matter how small and insignificant, could evoke the deepest pain in his heart.

He always thought himself incredibly in love, so much in love with Jing Haohao that he could accept anything from her. But he found out that he was deeply bothered by Shen Liangnian’s constant presence in Jing Haohao’s world.

In the deepest part of the night…it’s as late as three in the morning. What could Shen Liangnian possibly want with Jing Haohao? A single man and a single woman, alone in skin contact…

Liang Chen felt like a fire was rapidly burning in his chest, even the pain within his body was amplified, rushing into his brain, causing his temples to pulse uncontrollably.

His tie, a perfect formal dress accessory, had always been tied around his neck with the right amount of tension. However, at that moment, he felt like it was suffocating him.

With a cold expression, Liang Chen raised his hand and yanked off the tie, clutching it tightly. Staring at the dim light at the entrance of the apartment building, he instantly pictured Shen Liangnian walking out leisurely. He squeezed the tie and then flung it in anger against the side window.

Jealousy and bitterness, mixed with rage, relentlessly tore at his soul, causing him to abruptly fling open the car door and storm towards Jing Haohao’s apartment.

He had just reached the elevator when he realized the extent of his rage – if he went upstairs, he might hurt her. He glared at the elevator doors as they “dinged” open, then kicked the wall in front of him with hatred.

The force was so great that his leg started to sting with numb pain. The next second, his eyes welled up with tears, and he turned around and walked out of Jing Haohao’s apartment, directly to his car. He yanked the car door open, floored the gas pedal, and sped away.

Liang Chen drove at breakneck speed, circling the quiet, deserted streets of Jiangshan City time and time again. Then his phone rang.

He glanced at it. It was a call from his assistant. His gaze darkened, and he didn’t answer.

The assistant persisted and called again. He picked up this time and was told that the flight he booked back to Shanghai was boarding in one hour.

Liang Chen hung up the call, sat in the car for a long moment before finally turning to look out the window, surprised to find that he had ended up back at Jing Haohao’s residence.

He lifted his hand, looking at her unlit window. After a moment of hesitation, he hit the steering wheel and drove directly to Jiangshan City’s airport.

When Liang Chen arrived in Shanghai, his assistant’s car was already waiting for him as he walked out of the airport.

Knowing that Liang Chen had returned to Jiangshan City to meet Jing Haohao, the assistant assumed his mood would be favorable and jovially asked: “Mr. Liang, how is Miss Jing doing?”

Liang Chen’s previously expressionless face became chilly and distant at these words.

He shot his assistant an icy glance before silently opening the car door and climbing in.
