The car didn’t switch off its engine. The door on the driver’s side opened and Shen Liangnian stepped out. He walked around the car, stood in front of Jing Haohao, and opened the passenger door for her.

So, she hadn’t been waiting for a taxi after all. She had been waiting for Shen Liangnian… It turned out that his initial conjecture was true, and the rest was merely wishful thinking.

Jing Haohao didn’t love him. She willingly left him. Despite seeing all the evidence that Liang Yuan had shown him, he still didn’t want to face it. He kept on looking for her doggedly, nevertheless facing disappointment every time, refusing to give up because he still wanted to believe that Jing Haohao was forced away by his older brother, not that she left of her own accord.
