Chapter 539 - 539 540 Haohao (3)_1
?Chapter 539: Chapter 540 Haohao (3)_1 Chapter 539: Chapter 540 Haohao (3)_1 Liang Chen came out of the bedroom, coincidentally bumping into Nanny Lin who was coming upstairs.
Nanny Lin had already received a call from the old house and knew what had happened, she also knew that Liang Chen had gone to France.
Looking at Liang Chen, who was already tidied up, his handsome face thinner than before, Nanny Lin felt a surge of sadness in her heart, and said, “Mr. Chen, would you like to eat something?”
Liang Chen didn’t say anything, he just nodded subtly, devoid of any expression on his face, then he took the lead and walked downstairs.
Before Nanny Lin came upstairs, she had already prepared the food he loved. He sat at the table, looking at the long dining table, vaguely recalling the scenes where Jing Haohao used to sit beside him. He frowned, picked up his chopsticks, and began eating quietly.
It had been several days since Liang Chen had a proper meal. He was hungry but had no appetite. He reluctantly ate a bit and then put down his chopsticks.
Feeling tired yet unwilling to return to the bedroom devoid of Jing Haohao, he walked out of the house instead. The air of the summer mountain was crisp and a tad chilly. Liang Chen stared at the shimmering swimming pool in front of him for a while, then he turned around and headed towards the backyard.
The European-style street lamps on both sides of the stone road cast a dim yellow light. He walked unhurriedly, then stopped in front of the wedding venue that had been set up.
Those flowers that he had ordered to plant were blooming beautifully under the gardener’s care. Butterflies were fluttering around them even in the middle of the night.
The colorful neon lights of the stage were still on, flickering chaotic colors, but the large screen at the back was dark.
Liang Chen stepped on the stage, turned on the switch, and immediately a picture of his and Jing Haohao’s wedding appeared. Some music began to play from it, presumably a song that the workers listened to while setting up the stage.
Liang Chen seldom listened to pop music, but he found the melody soothing, so he didn’t turn it off, just let it play.
“To love someone, you need fate. Why make yourself sink even deeper? Don’t be foolish to use your innocence to touch an unsettled soul, day after day only waiting foolishly.”
The backyard was very quiet, the Western-style building in front emanated a gentle light.
He stood on the stage, as if he could see the wooden chairs in front filled with friends and relatives he invited, waiting to witness his wedding with Jing Haohao.
“To love someone, don’t be too serious. Your wounded eyes are heart-wrenching, no one has to have another one to live a lifetime, why force yourself to face the scars.”
He thought, on the 21st of May, the sun in Jiangshan City would surely be bright, Jing Haohao would be wearing a white wedding dress, beautiful as a fairy from heaven, walking step by step towards him with a gentle smile on her face.
“I know you’re sad, the input of feelings does not necessarily yield results with sincerity. Don’t ask how to make love last. You will understand this truth one day.”
However, all those things that could have come true, yet now, he was alone, standing here alone, looking at the carefully decorated wedding venue, foolishly sketching that wonderful scene in his mind.
The beauty hurt his heart.
“I know you’re sad, yesterday was love, today it’s over if we say it’s over. Don’t ask how to relieve your pain, sentimental hearts are destined to hurt longer.”
