Jing Haohao nodded.
Liang Yuan thought for a moment, then said, “By marrying Chen, Miss Jing will no longer need to act. Therefore, I brought a termination contract from TS Entertainment Company today. Although we will soon be family, I still want to proceed according to the company’s termination contract. The required compensation will not be shortchanged.”
With that, Liang Yuan took out a document and a pen from his briefcase and pushed them in front of Jing Haohao, “Take a look, if there’s no objection, you can sign directly.”
Jing Haohao had expected that once she married Liang Chen, the Liang Family wouldn’t allow her to continue acting. Moreover, she was now pregnant and wouldn’t be filming for a while. Therefore, without much thought, she took the contract, read it, found nothing unusual, and signed it.
Once she signed, Liang Yuan reached out and took away the contract. He quickly flipped through the pages before putting it back into his briefcase. He then glanced around at the servants in the house and said, “Miss Jing, I don’t know if you have time now?”
“Is there something you need?” Jing Haohao asked softly.
“Nothing really, I was just hoping if you have time, maybe you could accompany me for a walk. I want to take a look at your wedding venue.”
“Sure,” Jing Haohao stood up, “I’ll go change my clothes.”
“Please take your time, Miss Jing.” After saying that, Liang Yuan stood up and walked out of the room first.
Jing Haohao went upstairs and changed into a more solemn outfit. The sun outside was a bit too bright. Before she went out, Nanny Lin handed her a sun umbrella.
Before Jing Haohao had a chance to open her sun umbrella when she left the villa, Liang Yuan was waiting outside and took her umbrella from her. He opened it and held it up for her, saying, “Let’s go, Miss Jing.”
There was no conversation between Jing Haohao and Liang Yuan as they walked. The fact that Liang Yuan held the umbrella for her himself made Jing Haohao feel an unexplained pressure, and her steps became somewhat stiff.
As they almost reached the stage being set up for the wedding, Jing Haohao sighed inwardly and said, “Mr. Liang, that’s it up ahead.”
Liang Yuan, however, did not look at the stage but fixed his gaze straight on Jing Haohao.
Jing Haohao looked back at Liang Yuan with some confusion.
After a long pause, Liang Yuan spoke, “Miss Jing, how did you meet Chen?”
This question caught Jing Haohao off guard, making her expression slightly rigid. She and Liang Chen met at the Four Seasons Hotel due to a misunderstanding. That night had completely changed her life.
If possible, she would definitely prefer not to recall or mention it in her lifetime.
Jing Haohao moistened her lips. Her expression remained unchanged as she chose a casual response, “Through a friend.”
