When Jing Haohao heard ‘Mr. Liang’, she understood everything instantly.
She had thought that even if he did arrive in this small town, it would take some time to find her, but she didn’t expect that just a few hours after her phone call, he had already found her.
Had she underestimated his capability, or was she just inexperienced and didn’t know just how powerful he truly was?
The boss looked at Jing Haohao standing still, saying nothing, thinking that these were people from a big company not to be offended, he hastily sent Jing Haohao a signal, reminding her with a seemingly friendly tone, “Haohao, your friends are here to see you, go with them. Leaving the store, one of them got into the car and started the engine, while the other opened the car door for Jing Haohao: “Miss Jing, please get in.”
Jing Haohao stood in front of the expensive car, tightly pursed her lips, after a long while, reluctantly bent over and got in the car.
The car was driven at high speed, and in just a few minutes, they stopped in front of a hotel in the small town.
The driver got out of the car first, walked to Jing Haohao’s door and opened the car for her.
After Jing Haohao got out of the car, the two men led Jing Haohao into the hotel.
Pushing the door open, a young man on duty stood up: “Have you found her already?”
“Where’s Mr. Liang?”
“Inside.”
The two men leading Jing Haohao didn’t say anything, and took her all the way to the innermost door.
The man walking in front raised his hand and knocked on the door. Then he turned the handle and said: “Mr. Liang, we’ve brought the person you’re looking for.”
Jing Haohao raised her head, just to see Liang Chen standing against the light. The man was wearing a white shirt and suit pants, his shirt’s collar was unbuckled, revealing a delicate collarbone and fair skin. His sleeves were also slightly rolled up, revealing a stretch of muscular forearm.
He had lost a lot of weight. Beneath his eye sockets, a trace of dark circles appeared, as if he had not rested well. His outstanding face had stubble from not shaving overnight, and he appeared somewhat fatigued.
However, none of this diminished his attractiveness.
When Liang Chen heard the door being pushed open, his eyes fell instantly on the doorway. Then he saw Jing Haohao’s petite figure slowly appearing.
Only two short weeks have passed since they last saw each other, yet encountering each other again, he felt an illusion as if centuries had passed.
Her facial features were the same as he remembered. The only difference was the ordinary dress she was wearing, unlike the high-end clothes she wore when she stayed with him. But that didn’t affect her beauty in the slightest.
Liang Chen’s gaze locked tightly on Jing Haohao, as if looking straight through her, appraising her from inside out. After several rounds of scrutinizing, he slowly retracted his gaze and said to the two men standing beside Jing Haohao, “Thanks for your trouble.”
