?Chapter 380: Chapter 381: After the Harm, There’s No Forgiveness (6)_1 Chapter 380: Chapter 381: After the Harm, There’s No Forgiveness (6)_1 Jing Haohao’s crying briefly paused, and after a moment, she gently raised her head. Her long eyelashes were wet as if washed with water, her face was stained with tears, and there was a layer of moisture in her eyes, appearing as if large drops of tears would fall at any moment.

Liang Chen’s hand hesitated on Jing Haohao’s shoulder, bending over, he stared at her tear-streaked face, her color draining away bit by bit.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, he found himself mute as if stricken with aphasia, unable to utter his sorrow. All he could do was gently move his hand to her arm and, using all his strength, pulled her up from the ground.

Jing Haohao, like a puppet, slowly stood up with his help. She stood before him, pale and with her head bowed.

Liang Chen stared at her downcast head for a while, then with his hands, he lifted her face. With a serious expression, he used his fingers to carefully wipe away one tear at a time from her face until it was clean.

Only then, did Liang Chen realize that his touch was ice-cold and somewhat horrifying. He frowned, grasped her hands, and found them as cold as ice.

Furrowing his brows, Liang Chen took off his coat, draped it over Jing Haohao, bundled her up tightly, then took out his phone to call the driver. He held Jing Haohao’s hand, and they left the alley.

Jing Haohao was wearing high heels, and after hours of walking, it was now difficult for her to take a step without feeling pain. When Liang Chen began to lead her by the hand, she couldn’t help but gasp. He instantly paused, turned his head to look at her, and asked with obvious concern, “What’s wrong?”

Having just cried her heart out, Jing Haohao, now depleted of energy, didn’t feel like speaking. She pressed her lips together and shook her head.

Liang Chen looked her up and down, and instantly understood what was wrong. He squatted down, held one of Jing Haohao’s feet, and took off her shoe. Seeing that her socks were already stained with blood, he knew her feet must have become blistered from too much walking.

Liang Chen also removed Jing Haohao’s other shoe, then turned around to squat in front of her and said, “Get on, I’ll carry you.”

Jing Haohao stared at Liang Chen’s broad and upright back, without moving.

Liang Chen turned back, looked up at Jing Haohao staring at him, grabbed her wrist, and brought her onto his back. He then held her legs and easily stood up. Carrying Jing Haohao on his back, they slowly moved further into the dimly lit alley.

While lying on Liang Chen’s back, Jing Haohao could faintly smell his unique scent. His steady pace didn’t make her feel any bumpiness at all.
