?Chapter 333: Chapter 334 Expulsion (2)_1 Chapter 333: Chapter 334 Expulsion (2)_1 Jing Haohao, as if she hadn’t heard Liang Chen’s voice, remained in the same position, her gaze fixated on the heavy snow outside the window.
After waiting for a while, Liang Chen took a deep breath, suppressing the anger within. He spoke in a calm tone, “Give me your hand. Let me put some medicine on it.”
Only then did Jing Haohao slowly shift her gaze. She looked at the ointment in Liang Chen’s hand, then at her own bruised and purple wrist. What was he trying to imply? He was the one who had hurt her; now, he wanted to apply the ointment? Was he trying to compensate for the harm by offering a small consolation?
When he was angry, he treated her as he pleased. Once his anger was gone, he came to coax her. Was it her destiny to endure this every time?
Seeing that Jing Haohao had remained silent for quite a while, Liang Chen took the initiative to stretch out his hand and grabbed hers.
As if provoked, Jing Haohao abruptly withdrew her hand from his. She looked at him, pursed her lips, and said, “No need, I’ll do it myself later.”
As if not hearing her words, Liang Chen grabbed her hand again, squeezed out the ointment, and began applying it to her wrist.
“I said I’ll do it myself later.” Jing Haohao tried to pull her hand back but Liang Chen held it tight. In a swift move, she stretched out her other hand and yanked at Liang Chen’s fingers.
With one hand covered in ointment, Liang Chen had only one free hand to hold her wrist. Jing Haohao’s use of both hands was too much for him to handle. With an unreadable expression, he lifted his head to look at her, all anger suppressed. “Stop it. Once the medicine is on, it won’t hurt,” he said patiently.
How long it had been since Jing Haohao confronted Liang Chen like this, she couldn’t remember. She didn’t know what had gotten into her that night. She felt a sense of inexplicable despair. A new year had arrived; everyone was looking forward to a fresh start, except her, who couldn’t change her current situation. She knew the man in front of her had limited patience. He was already trying hard to contain his temper. If she truly irritated him, there would be no good outcome. Still, she stubbornly bit down on his arm, right as he was about to apply the ointment to her wrist.
Liang Chen didn’t see it coming. His hand shook involuntarily and almost let go of her wrist. But a second later, he regained his grip. He sat quietly on the side, letting her bite him.
The strength of her teeth gradually increased. In the end, Jing Haohao could clearly taste blood in her mouth. Only then did she let go abruptly.
Enduring the pain, Liang Chen calmly applied medicine to the injured area of her wrist.
With his arm numb from the bite, he didn’t notice when Jing Haohao pulled her hand back. He lifted his head, looked at Jing Haohao, and spoke in a soft voice, devoid of emotion, “Give me your hand.”
Jing Haohao pressed her lips together, making no move.
“I’m telling you again, Haohao, give me your hand.”
Jing Haohao swallowed but remained silent.
The next second, Liang Chen harshly threw the medicine away. Glaring at her, he roared in fury, “Jing Haohao, what has gotten into you today! Can’t you just stop?!”
