?Chapter 331: Chapter 332: Strike (8)_1 Chapter 331: Chapter 332: Strike (8)_1 But now, hearing the conversation between the young couple, he finally understood. The thing she carried with her all the time was not a symbol of her not despising him. It was a clear sign that she was hoping to break up with him soon…
No wonder she didn’t want anything he offered to buy for her that day when he tried to cheer her up with gifts. But in the end, she asked for this cheap Stone Story trinket. So, that was what she had in mind all along.
What a joke… Like a fool, he had told her, not knowing any better, to take all three of the stones she had chosen if she liked them. She obediently agreed… Three… She must want to leave him so badly that she chose three at once… What was even more annoying was that he thought she genuinely liked these oddly shaped little stones. So, when they were leaving the mall, he specifically went to the Stone Story store and bought her two more beautiful new stone pendants…
The gaze of Liang Chen never left those three little stones. The words from his mouth, neither light nor heavy, were rather cold: “Take them off!”
Before Jing Haohao could react, Liang Chen suddenly reached out and violently pulled at the cord on her wrist. Regardless of whether it hurt Jing Haohao or not, he forcefully ripped it off.
Jing Haohao’s wrist was slender and delicate. With Liang Chen’s sudden pull, she felt a piercing pain. The next second, her wrist started to swell and Jing Haohao couldn’t help but gasp.
Upon hearing her cries of pain, Liang Chen glanced at her and said angrily with a cold expression, “Does it hurt? I wish it could kill you!”
He then abruptly picked up Jing Haohao by her waist, slung her over his shoulder, and strode away.
Dangling upside down, Jing Haohao felt extremely uncomfortable. She struggled to get off Liang Chen, but he firmly held her down, preventing her from moving.
Jing Haohao extended her hand, slapping his back, “Put me down! I feel awful. Put me down!”
Liang Chen seemed to have not heard her at all. Ignoring the strange looks from passers-by, he carried her all the way to the parking lot across the street. After starting the car, he shoved her into it and closed the door harshly. Following suit, he got in the car and drove off, his face cold and silent, speeding straight back to the villa.
Having parked the car, Liang Chen strode into the house without uttering a word, only leaving Nanny Lin, who was greeting him at the door, a brief command: “Get the lady a pair of shoes.” Then he stepped into the elevator and left.
Upon reaching the second floor, Liang Chen went into the bedroom, picked up Jing Haohao’s bag from the couch, and dumped everything out. He then picked up Jing Haohao’s wallet from among the scattered items, opened it, and without a word, took out a stack of hundred-dollar bills. He counted ten from the stack.
The Stone Story trinket had cost him only 947 dollars. So, Liang Chen pulled out his own wallet, rummaged through it, and could only find 46 dollars in change. He still owed Jing Haohao seven dollars. With a cold face, Liang Chen walked out of the bedroom, stood at the railing on the second floor and called out harshly, “Nanny Lin, Nanny Lin!”
Nanny Lin and Jing Haohao had just entered the house when they heard Liang Chen’s call and answered immediately.
Liang Chen said to Nanny Lin directly: “Bring me seven dollars!”
PS: Brother Liang Chen, you’re so rich, and yet you’re demanding seven dollars from a servant. Do you think that’s reasonable?
