?Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Weibo (5)_1 Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Weibo (5)_1 Jing Haohao stood in the corridor for a while, didn’t say anything, and then went back to her bedroom.
The room on the west side seemed to be undergoing renovation, making loud noises which disturbed Jing Haohao’s attempts to sleep. Thus, all afternoon, she diverted all her thoughts to her cell phone.
Her phone buzzed numerous times with notifications from Weibo. Each time, Jing Haohao quickly picked it up to look, but every time she was disappointed. Shen Liangnian had never responded to her messages.
By evening, the noise from the renovations finally subsided. The villa returned to its usual serenity, and Jing Haohao, somewhat absentminded, watched the sunset from the balcony.
In the meantime, Nanny Lin came up once to ask her what she wanted to eat for dinner. Jing Haohao replied with disinterest: “Anything.”
Nanny Lin still reported to Jing Haohao what she planned to cook for dinner.
After Nanny Lin left, Jing Haohao pulled out her phone again from her pocket to check Weibo. Shen Liangnian still had not responded, so Jing Haohao, crestfallen, sat in the hanging chair on the balcony, staring blankly at the distant hills until the sound of a familiar car engine interrupted her thoughts.
Jing Haohao turned her head and saw the Land Rover that Liang Chen often drives speeding into the yard and stopping below the swimming pool.
A servant cleaning the yard ran over to open the car door for Liang Chen.
Liang Chen got out of the car while saying a few words to the servant. He then looked up in the direction of the master bedroom and his eyes met Jing Haohao’s gaze.
Despite the one-floor height difference, Jing Haohao could still feel Liang Chen’s piercing gaze. She quickly turned her head to avoid his eyes.
Not two minutes later, she heard the sound of the bedroom door. Following that, Liang Chen entered. As he took off his shirt, he glanced at Jing Haohao, then walked into the bathroom bare-chested.
When he came out, Liang Chen had changed into casual attire. His half-dry hair hung somewhat messily, nonchalantly giving off a relaxed vibe.
He poured himself a glass of water and casually raised his head to ask Jing Haohao: “Did the renovators come this afternoon?”
“Yes.” Even though Jing Haohao was still a bit uncomfortable talking to Liang Chen, they had been living together in the villa for more than a month. She had somewhat figured out Liang Chen’s character: as long as he asked, she answered. He was usually quite easy to talk to.
“When did they leave?”
“Not long before you came back.”
“Hmm.” Liang Chen nodded, gulped down the water, put down the glass, and said to Jing Haohao: “Come, let’s go and see what state they’ve left the room in!”
