?Chapter 109: Chapter 109: What’s Mine is Hers (1)_1 Chapter 109: Chapter 109: What’s Mine is Hers (1)_1 Ever since Yang Chen had begun browsing over clothes outside, Liang Chen sat casually next to Jing Haohao, calmly asking his assistant to open a laptop and start handling his work.
Those who were supposed to hold the meeting with him were simply left with no choice but to sit patiently by his side.
By the time it was noon, everyone’s stomach was touching their back due to hunger, but Liang Chen showed no sign of intending to end the meeting any time soon.
Half an hour later, some people could hardly bear their hunger and kept drinking water desperately, occasionally looking over at Liang Chen with an indecisive look.
Liang Chen seemed oblivious to the reactions of those around him, focused only on his computer as he rapidly typed lines of text onto the keyboard from time to time.
Occasionally, he would glance up, his eyes devoid of emotion but still emitting an intimidating aura, which left everyone else feeling scared to vocalize anything. So they quickly diverted their gaze to the window to see how many clothes items Yang Chen has set his eyes upon through the big glass window.
It wasn’t until the laptop’s battery issued a low-battery warning that Liang Chen quickly typed one last line of text, then closed the laptop.
By now, he no longer appeared aggressive. He was as modest as a humble gentleman, elegantly turning his head while casually glancing out the window at Yang Chen. Then, as if he was tired from working, he leaned back on the sofa, slowly closed his eyes, and rubbed his brow.
Since it wasn’t night time, “Golden Years” was practically deserted, rendering the entire first-floor lobby even more silent.
Jing Haohao was quiet and patient by nature. She had hurried to find Liang Chen, hoping he would spare Shen Liangnian, but she was wise enough not to mention it in front of everyone.
Therefore, she simply sat there quietly, waiting for Liang Chen to make a move.
However, by nearly three o’clock, the man was still sitting there, shut-eye and rejuvenating, seemingly asleep.
Jing Haohao was beginning to feel hungry. She kept swallowing her saliva but her stomach unintentionally emitted a rumbling noise.
The sound was faint, but in the hushed lobby, and because Liang Chen was sitting so close to Jing Haohao, he heard it quite clearly. It was less than a minute before he slowly opened his eyes, first checking the time on his wristwatch before asking, in a light tone,”How many clothes has been seen each by now?”
Nanny Lin, whose legs were already weak from standing at the door, hastily replied respectfully, “Not even one-third of it has been seen yet.”
Liang Chen furrowed his brows, then shifted his gaze to Jing Haohao, before finally speaking expressionlessly, “Go call Yang Chen in.”
Upon hearing this, everyone appeared as though they had received amnesty, visibly relaxing their tense expressions.
Nanny Lin issued a brief acknowledgement before hastening off to do as she was told.
