Chapter 490: No Guarantee
Chapter 490: No Guarantee
Yuna challenged Elysia for another two rounds. This time, Elysia restrained her magical prowess so Yuna could put up a good fight and resistance against her magic.
Even though Yuna ended up losing, she received a lot of guidance and enlightenment from the Supreme Goddess.
"Are you good?" Elysia stretched out her hand to the resilient immortal who was lying limp in the cosmic arena.
"I’m good. Thank you for your guidance, my lady. I think I can already see the threshold. It’s so close. My ascension to 17th Rank is already within my reach." Yuna extended her arm and grabbed Elysia’s hand.
"That’s wonderful~ Yuna, you are actually too good." Elysia heaved a subtle sigh. She felt a bit guilty because she used Yuna as a subject for her magic experiments, but everything was for the greater good. Nobody was harmed as well, and she felt relieved because of it.
However, she then recalled about it. Yuna did everything for He-Dao. It would be a pity if He-Dao wouldn’t appreciate Yuna’s efforts.
"Thank you, my lady." Yuna returned to her feet, feeling a bit confused by Elysia’s tender yet sad. "What’s wrong, my lady?"
"After the Nirvana Great War, if I managed to return and He-Dao still couldn’t answer your feelings, maybe... I would try to win you over." Elysia voiced out what came to her mind in a soft whisper.
"Win, win me? My lady? What, what do you mean-" Yuna gasped in shock.
"Sshh... What did I just say? Never mind." Elysia pressed her finger to her lips. She might try to recruit Yuna to her family rank if the situation allows it.
However, it would wait for the future, after she resolved the Nirvana Realm’s matters and Sera’s arrival.
"..." Yuna was silent for a moment with a faintly flushed face. She felt a bit embarrassed. Her lord would always be in her heart, but she couldn’t tell the future if the Supreme Goddess became aggressive to win her over.
The words rang in her mind, and she soon paled as she realized something between the lines. "My lady, do you..."
"We have no guarantee. I hope our preparation and everything goes as we expected." Elysia shook her head, remembering Sera and the Unknown Nightmare. She turned around and left the arena, flying to the spectator safe zone.
"..." Yuna bit her lower lips. The foreboding became strong all of a sudden, and she trembled as she remembered the vibe was similar to when Lady Nirvana left and never returned. Lady Nirvana’s sacrifice was still haunting her as well.
It was a death flag. Even a Supreme Goddess with the pinnacle of magical prowess had no guarantee against the Nirvana Abyssal Demon.
’If so, then why do you need to push yourself to help us? Why do you have to say it like that to me...’ Yuna muttered in her mind, feeling down all of a sudden.
She then thought about discussing this matter with her lord and fellow agents, but she restrained herself from doing so because it would demoralize them. Everyone believed Elysia held the supreme power to resolve everything. The Nirvana Abyssal Demon meant nothing before the supreme...
Elysia was unaware that her words were misinterpreted by Yuna. She had no guarantee, but her worry stemmed from the other matters, and it was not from the Nirvana Abyssal Demon, nor the Corrupted Heavenly Law in the Nirvana Realm.
"Hum, the divine battlesuit and the divine staff are working well. The performance rose by 40% after the upgrade." Lifa checked Elysia’s body with a swift scan.
"Hehe, it’s not because of the divine equipment. Our Ely’s magical creation is truly something, you know? If she desires it, she can spawn a massive sun and blow it up for a galactic wipeout." Nell spread her arms wide open, exaggerating her statement.
"Oh no. If the galaxy disappears, where else can we live?" Elysia waved her hand with a small laugh as she knew it was just a joke.
The Elysium members took turns exchanging words with Elysia, including the disciples. However, there was a girl who kept looking at Elysia with a flushed, infatuated expression with a mixture of admiration, joy, amazement, and embarrassment.
"???" Elysia noticed Jophiel wasn’t around. That was a bit unnatural because this pink demoness would always be at the forefront to gain her attention and affection. She looked around and found Jophiel was still sitting in the spectator seat.
Upon noticing her master’s gaze, Jophiel closed her legs tightly and looked down, feeling embarrassed to move.
"Please excuse me for a moment." Elysia raised her hand to everyone. She approached Jophiel and took her trouble disciple away with a poof.
He-Dao had yet to receive his opportunity to talk to Elysia. He was pleased and appreciated it because he finally could witness a fragment of her divine power. Yet, she left the scene all of a sudden.
"What happened to Jophi? She is usually the most excited one, like a love-struck chirping bird, the favorite child craving for her mama’s love." Sylvia asked the nearby disciple.
"Uhm, I shouldn’t describe it like this, but I guess, Jophi is too embarrassed." Gabriella put her fingers together, feeling she shouldn’t embarrass her junior sister.
"What does that mean? Speak in something easy to understand." Sylvia rubbed her head, feeling confused.
"That’s normal, especially after witnessing our master’s otherwordly prowess. She clearly wet herself a river." Uriel rolled her eyes.
"Uri, you shouldn’t say it like that. Jophi will hate you." Remiel advised her senior sister worriedly.
"Uh, I guess I don’t fare any better after watching our master’s true prowess. This is the first time our master has cast her magic. Please excuse me." Uriel rubbed her arms and shivered a little. She then excused herself as she had to regain her composure.
"Hey, are you okay? Did that hit you hard?" Amy was concerned because Yuna was so silent.
"No, it’s okay. I’m approaching the threshold of 17th Rank. Goddess Ely’s guidance is a great help. You should try to seek her guidance as well." Yuna put the matter aside as she was afraid to understand it completely. She had to ask Elysia for more clarity later.
"O-oh? But not now. Goddess Ely is truly high, beyond my reach. I may seek her guidance, but not in a spar. I should perhaps try to exchange insights with Ai or Zera first. Their darkness divinities matched mine." Amy took a step back.
Even Yuna, the strongest agent, became like a child in front of Elysia. So, her situation would be much worse if she dared to challenge the supreme one even though it was just a spar.
Amy supported Yuna to return to their lord’s side. He-Dao praised Yuna’s performance and progress in both awe and appreciation.
A few minutes later, Elysia returned with the newly dressed Jophiel by her side. She already deactivated her God Mode, returning to her priestess appearance.
’Mama, you are so amazing and charming! But, what just happened to Jophi-chan?’ Miko cheered from the Elysian Realm. Her upgrade was complete as an advanced avatar model, similar to Megami. However, she couldn’t leave just yet.
She watched everything happily with her sister, Megami, by her side. Yet, a particular situation occurred, and something blocked her vision after her mama brought Jophiel away to somewhere unknown.
’It’s okay. Jophi is our lovely demoness. After helping calm herself down there, I gave her my old dress for her to change.’ Elysia smiled in reply while giving Jophiel a head pat.
The mentioned dress was the pure white one-piece summer dress that she would usually wear during the weekend in her leisure time. Jophiel was so happy because of it.
"Hee-hee... Thank you, mama master~" Jophiel hugged her master’s arm tightly. No words could describe her relief and happiness.
Besides receiving her master’s care, she also got a super nice dress. Her master’s fragrance was still there, but she had to change her clothes soon as it was a treasure worth keeping to cherish for life.
Regardless, she managed to save her face from her fellow disciples. If they caught her wet herself when she couldn’t find a place to hide here, they would make fun of her non-stop, especially Uriel.
Jophiel took out her versatile slime and changed her clothes to her tight-fitting combat suit. She then secured her master’s white dress in a special spot in her storage pouch.
"Elysia, are you free? Can you enlighten me as well by exchanging some moves? I wish to learn more about your method, especially the method to deal with the corruption and the curse at the heavenly level." He-Dao approached with enthusiasm.
He thought about learning a thing or two from Elysia to overcome the Nirvana Abyssal Demon. The current opportunity was so perfect for it.
"Sure, but my lessons in this class are expensive." Elysia was happy to provide the lessons, but not for free.
"You don’t need to bargain with me. I will fulfill all of your demands as long as they are reasonable." He-Dao replied with a confident smile. He would buy the ticket, no matter the cost, and he might need to invite some of his agents for this as well.
"Hum, then you can become my temporary student. Call me teacher. We can start the lessons the day after tomorrow when I’m free." Elysia nodded in satisfaction. He-Dao was so rich and generous.
"Alright, teacher." He-Dao had no objections to the arrangement.
As for the next, Elysia asked everyone to participate in the spar event. They could spar against each other or fight the recorded creatures created by divine magic. This opportunity focused on honing their potential against formidable opponents at full capacity without having to worry about anything.
Since the offer was presented before their eyes, everyone signed up. Even He-Dao and his servants queued up. Dylan was no exception.
For Elysium Goddesses and He-Dao’s group, Elysia took them to a special area because they wished to try their new discoveries against the God-tier curse-type monster.
"Zera, please help me out to create the Artificial Ruvoid God by combining our divinity." Elysia put her palms to Zera’s.
"Yes." Zera nodded in reply. She obediently cooperated with Elysia’s every command and combined their divine power. They created an Artificial Ruvoid God for training purposes.
