Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 112: Bound by duty

Chapter 112: Bound by duty

"Hmmm, this isn’t the work of a hunting expedition right?" With a frown on his face Leon thought to himself.

In front of him was the mangled up corpse of a seven horned deer with pure white fur all over its body.

Normally, this creature would be the most beautiful at this time of year found only in the west of Eldoria, but here it was dead in a habitat that wasn’t even its own.

The creature had been ripped from limb to limb and its body cut open as if whomsoever had done this was looking for something inside of it...it was brutal.

"There are footprints not too far from here, but they just disappear after 30 steps then they appear elsewhere, this isn’t the behaviour of a creature" while Leon examined the corpse, Arian noticed a few things in their immediate environment and pointed them out.

"Ahhh? Where?" Leon lifted his head and looking over at the footprints. They were massive, abnormal, and the pattern with which they moved was random.

Whatever this was, it was actively trying to cover its tracks. Definitely not a beast.

(It’s moving in that direction)

All of a sudden, levi poked his head out and hissed towards the darker part of the woods infront of him indicating that Leon would find whatever he was looking for deeper inside the woods.

Meanwhile....

—clangggggg

The sound of two individuals clashing in the depths of the woods resounded as a strangely built kid who didn’t look older than 6 could be seen clashing with a faceless mercenary.

"I KNEW IT!! You guys are up to no good" with a smirk on his face, the young Lord said while clashing against a faceless man with a black sword .

From the very beginning he had tried chased away Leon and his goons, but the old fool had stood in his way. Now it was proven that he was indeed right!!!.

"F*cker!!!" The blade Demon groaned, before falling backwards.

They were looking for their "target" when all of a sudden the young lord Alvin appeared and sneak attacked him.

Surprisingly, this kid was actually very powerful. With a swing of his blade he forced the blade Demon back, even with his newly upgraded grade 2 sword.

"Where are the rest?" Noticing the impact his strength had on the blade Demon, Alvin looked away and asked as if looking for someone in particular.

Of course, he was looking for none other than Leon. For some reason be had the urge to fight Leon, to the death even.

"What? Am I not enough to hold you down?" The blade Demon asked with a sneer. He was a genius fighter, not some random person on the street he had killed so many and embarrassed the rest.....but most of all, he was prideful.

Did Alvin think he was weaker than Leon?

"Wind work: scared dance of the wind demon"

Suddenly, the blade Demon was surrounded by specs of wind mana. They enveloped his legs, and his left arm all the way towards the tip of his sword.

This was a sacred spell.

Things like these weren’t available to any Tom Dick and Harry, they were special carefully guarded by the mage organizations. Spells that touched the realm above peak were treasures.

Clearly, the blade demon had some tricks under his sleeves too.

And if this wasn’t enough, to the side fighting against the other men of the faystone household was the vailed faceless mercenary. Who was also at level three.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"My god, what is that?" With a look of disgust on her face Arian whispered in a hushed voice.

With the blade Demon and Damien’s Apprentice holding down the young lord and his men. Arian and Leon were given free reign to search high and low for their targets.

with Levi’s help they were finally able to get a hold of him, but when they finally found him, they couldn’t help but stare in this belief and horror.

In the woods not too far away, a 7 ft tall pale creature with a gigantic build could be seen munching down on the bloody flesh of a creature mangled beyond recognition.

The worst thing about this scene was, it seemed like its prey was still alive.

"Arian, send the signal to the sorcerer. We’ve been noticed"

While Arian stared at the scene in disgust, Leon snapped her out of this state with his words. Adjusting her gaze, arian was able to fully focus of the creatures figure, and to her surprise.....it was now looking directly in their Direction.

Even with the ’food’ in its mouth still being chewed it still made sure that they knew that it could see them.

"Badur’s Gate : negative extermination light"

Leon didn’t hesitate before summoning Badur’s gates. They were already too close, if they couldnt create a distance they would die.

Because, apart from the way the creature looked, Leon also noticed that it was radiating energy infinity close to that of a level 4 magic user.

They had been given bad information!!!!.

—Wang

The purple light from badurs gate fired outwards while Arian grabbed Leon by the back of his shirt and flew away at full speed.

The moment she understood the situation, she understood that they could do nothing else other than run for their lives while hoping that their backup gets here on time.

And just as they took off running, a signal arrived before to a location in the form of an energy fluctuation.

"Ohhhh, they’ve gotten the old bastard huh?" With a smirk of her face, An old lady with a walking stick said while looking in the direction of a massive forest area in front of her.

"Grandma, come pick me up" right below her a 3 year old kid spoke with his armed spread out asking to be picked up.

"Hmm, not today little one, grandma is going somewhere" the old lady looked at the kid and said.

"Silly grandma, you can’t walk" shaking his head the kid chuckled. His grandma was paralysed from the waist down. She couldn’t go anywhere on her own.

"Hehe, little e here" the sorcerer smiled before reaching towards the kid with an evil twisted smile.

A few minutes later, The silhouettes of the grandma made her way out of the household with a satisfied look on her face. The same look that would appear on the face of someone who had just had a delicious meal.

"It’s finally time...." The grandma steched her hands outward and said.....there and then, her body began to morph slowly turning into the vestiges of a man in his early twenties.

There was no disputing it, the sorcerer had revealed himself.

When he noticed Leon heading for the central City, he followed him thinking that he was finally going through with his task. now confirming that this was truly fact, he was thrilled.

Slowly floating into the air, the sorcerer blasted off towards the faystone family household.

A grudge of hundreds of years was finally going to be handled, he would tear vlad limb from limb this time.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"So strong" with a look of satisfaction on his face a man in his forties said. In his right hand he had a bottle of wine and in the other a faceless mask

"Haha, brother Damien. You’re always so busy with your duties and all that rubbish, if you had agreed to enter the royal tardis 5 years ago, you would have this and many more" Beside him an old man replied.

Every level 4 mage had the opportunity to join the royal tardis, it was an organisation of the sort. Any mage that joined it would be under the full control of the royalty and would have their full support.

When the news of the level 5 warlock reached the ears of the royals they forced all tardis memebers to enter the center of duan city to support in the protection of their ancestor.

They gifted them with all they could and satisfied them in the fullest.

"You know I had no choice" Damien shook his head.

Their faceless mercenary company had never had a level 4 mage before him. So this was never really a thing they had to think of. But he had a set moral compass on what he wanted th faceless mercenary company to be.

But what the royals expected was too much.

To join the tardis they had to let the royals know the identity of all their members, this was something none of them would agree to. Even though most of the higher ups were now known.

The people under them would never agree. And Damian having joined the company just like them would not put them In such a situation.

"Hehee, you’re so dutiful" the aged man besides Damien said.

In truth he brought Damien to convince him to join the royal tardis once again. Damien was one of the, if not the youngest great mages in the kingdom.

He was worth protecting, but he was too principled and wouldn’t easily let go of his beliefs.

"Nothing I can do"
