The morning after their 4:1 Victory against Motherwell the Celtic side of Glasgow was rudely awoken by breaking news. Rakim who hadn't played in yesterday's game was woken up to a flurry of notifications on his phone. News apps, and social media, were blowing up his phone and this time it wasn't for his celebration going viral.

Messages in the player's group chat were also popping up but not as much as Twitter. Due to the algorithm linking him with the club news relating to it automatically appears on his timeline. Looking at the notifications for a second he chose to ignore them choosing to refocus on his training instead.

Since he doesn't like to lift weights he has been increasing his strength and endurance using various exercises. Using progressive overload in his callisthenics he was trying his best to make up for his shortcomings. Right now he was going through a burpee, shoulder dip and handstand push-up routine.

Brendan Rodgers Leaves Celtic for Premier League Side Leicester City

Published: 26/02/2019

Brendan Rodgers, the man who has led Celtic to numerous domestic titles and memorable European nights, has officially left his position as manager to join Premier League club Leicester City. The move comes just five days after Celtic's narrow defeat in the Europa League, leaving fans and players in shock.

Rodgers' Statement: "It's been an incredible journey with Celtic, one filled with unforgettable moments and achievements. However, the opportunity to return to the Premier League with Leicester City is one I couldn't pass up. I wish Celtic all the best for the future and thank the fans for their unwavering support."

This news had popped up all over the Glasgow news instantly causing the Celtic fans to react. They had been sleeping well after their team's recent victory against one of the stronger teams in the league only to be shocked by this.

The reactions were swift and intense. The supporters, who had been jubilant just the night before, now felt a deep sense of betrayal and unease. Social media platforms were flooded with posts from fans expressing their disbelief and anger.

In a Twitter thread titled "Rodgers Out?" and "What's Next for Celtic?" was rapidly gaining traction. Two different side were having a war off words as fans expressed their indignation. The minority of fans remained calm wishing the meritorious coach well for his next chapter. Whereas the majority of Glasgow supporters couldn't hold back their anger.

@BrendanRodgers: Leaving Celtic was one of the hardest decisions of my career. I want to thank the club, players, and especially the fans for the amazing support over the years. I'll always cherish my time in Glasgow. Now, I'm looking forward to a new challenge with @LCFC. #ThankYouCeltic #NewChapter

The arguments continued to escalate as more fans joined the fray, their tweets echoing the emotional intensity of the situation. The divide between those who sought a rational approach and those who were ready to take drastic measures only grew wider.

Noon Later that day the atmosphere around the training grounds was tense. Whilst most of the players were undergoing their training sessions they continued to discuss the manager's sudden exit. None of them had been informed of the move in advance so they were also caught off guard. Now most of the established players who had just renewed their contracts were left in a state of shock.

Coach Rodgers' departure was on everyone's lips. The whispers and side conversations among the players echoed their confusion and disappointment. It wasn't just the fans who felt betrayed; the players felt a deep sense of abandonment as well. They felt discarded by Rodgers whom they had trusted to lead them for the year.

As the team huddled for their tactical drills, the assistant coach tried to rally them. "Alright, lads, we need to focus," he said, his voice steady but lacking the reassurance that Rodgers had commanded. "We still have a job to do. Let's keep our heads in the game."

His statement was met with a lukewarm reception from the players who simply trudged along with the training session. Only a few like Rakim and Karamoko were doing their best not bothered by the news all that troubling. In fact, a change in the team's leadership could mean that they would get more chances in the team.

Thus they did their best to improve throughout the training session wanting to be ready for when the new manager arrived. Whilst the younger players took the change in stride the older players struggled to move on quickly. They had seen players come and go throughout the season but it was never easy to have a manager leave.

Due to the importance a manager has to a team a change could make a strong team start to perform below par. Every coach had their own style of play and the players had to adjust to it. This made them worry that their season that has been going well could be ruined by a new coach trying to impose his own style.
