Chapter 263 The first lady.
Chapter 263 The first lady.
Jeanne and the others were ready to fight, but then they were shocked and confused when they saw Lucifer and the others enter the crack. They didn't say a single word and just left as the crack behind them disappeared. They were speechless and thought that they would be fighting until they couldn't stand up anymore.
"What's the meaning of this? Did they just bail out from the fight?" Rozan asked in disbelief.
"Lucifer said something that this world is already a lost cause, and I think they have no reason to save it anymore," Jeanne answered while she was still on guard. "I'm not sure why either, but we still need to be cautious," Jeanne warned as she looked at her surroundings.
Not long after Jeanne said that dozens of cracks appeared right around them. This time there were multiples of Lucifer and Archangels that came out of the cracks, and they were on the same level as the previous ones.
"No reason to save it? It's more like they're bringing in more power to save it," Bhatmelec said as she readied her stance. Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire
Edith looked at the opponents in front of her and she realized she might be able to do something with her skill. She took a deep breath and activated her skill that she hadn't shown anyone about it.
The cracks were getting wider and suddenly hands came out of the cracks, grabbing the Archangels. They couldn't fight the hands or free themselves from it and then the hands pulled them back to where they came from.
Everyone was surprised by what they had witnessed until Edith collapsed to the ground. Her body was trembling and everyone was curious about what she just did and how she managed to send those Archangels back.
Nal who was waiting patiently realized something was off about the sky and she jolted from her seat. She could see the Law of the World and Nature were shifted and entwined for unknown reasons. It created events that were enough to mess up the universe and ruined it in just a blink of an eye.
"Did someone just manipulate the law of this world and nature? Who has such power to do so?!" Nal asked with a shocked expression. "Was it Mykel? But why?" Nal mumbled to herself and thought Mykel wouldn't need to do something like that.
Beldathiel saw the galaxies in far away started to act weirdly and things moved so fast. She watched two galaxies suddenly hit each other and create a massive black hole that devoured the other galaxies around it.
She didn't know what had happened, but she knew it wasn't a good idea to stay there. She then brought her sisters up to meet with the others because the universe was about to disappear.
Edith had been unconsciously training her skill and it had been upgraded so many times until it became a skill called [Cosmic Arbiter]. A skill that could control the Law of the World and Nature, and manipulate them as she pleased. She was capable of doing so after she learned a lot about the universe from Amaryllis.
The moment she thought of squeezing the cracks and those Archangels, she unconsciously squeezed the whole universe as well. That was why the universe was in chaos and nothing could stop it unless The Lord decided to fix it.
Edith passed out after that, and she thought that it was enough to solve the problem, but it wasn't. The cracks opened again and this time there were more of them than earlier and those Archangels looked furious.
"I'll try to keep ourselves safe," Nagy said as she activated her [Phantasm] skill. She created illusions of clones of those Archangels to fight them.
Before she could even command her clones, her reality was shattered by a single snap of her fingers. She knew it was worth the try, but she also knew it wouldn't be effective against them.
"Enma, can you protect Edith for a moment," Lyneth said as she poked Enma's left shoulder.
Enma looked at Lyneth and she looked confused for a moment, but then she nodded her head. She went to the middle to protect Edith and waited until she woke up.
Lyneth walked to the front and used her [Vesper] skill to close the cracks, and it was a piece of cake. She then wished to have half of Mykel's power and his combat ability, and it was granted like it was nothing.
"You know, I have been doing nothing but sitting on my desk or just being the first lady," Lyneth said as she removed her suit and unbuttoned the two buttons on her chest. "It's time for me to have my second fight," Lyneth pointed out and readied her stance.
Everyone looked at each other and didn't know what Lyneth was trying to do, but then she disappeared and reappeared right in front of Lucifer. She spun and threw a backkick right in his face before he could even react. Her kick was enough to separate Lucifer's head from his neck and kill him in an instant.
"Wow, this feels nice..." Lyneth couldn't believe it after what she just did.
Lyneth stood her ground in the midst of a celestial battleground, her fists crackling with raw power. Before her, three Archangels, their radiant wings unfurled, hovered ominously. Each of them possessed formidable superpowers, enough to rival her own immense strength.
With a determined glare, Lyneth dashed forward, her right fist surging with energy. The first Archangel, Gabriel, summoned gusts of wind to deflect her attack, but Lyneth's punch tore through the wind which should be enough to extinguish the sun, sending Gabriel away with a hole in his chest.
Michael unleashed searing flames on his sword attempting to obliterate Lyneth. She countered by channeling her power into her kick, creating a shockwave that extinguished the flames and sent him away with a broken body.
Uriel tried to heal them, but Lyneth knew she needed to act swiftly. She leaped into the air, her legs ablaze with energy, and delivered a powerful spinning kick that erased Uriel's existence.
With Uriel's death, Lyneth turned her attention back to Gabriel and Michael, who regrouped for a final assault. Gabriel summoned lightning from the skies, but Lyneth channeled her power into her fists, creating an electrifying aura. With a thunderous punch, she dispersed Gabriel's lightning and turned him into ashes.
Now facing only Michael, Lyneth's determination intensified. She charged her fists with an overwhelming force, striking Michael with hundreds of punches and kicks that he couldn't even see. With one final blow, she exploded his body and it made everyone speechless.
"What the fuck? Was Miss Lyneth that powerful?" Sven was in disbelief.
"Who cares, knowing that she can handle three of them that easily, we can win this battle," Jeanne said and then flew to join the battle.
The battle was so fierce that they couldn't think of anything else but the opponent they were facing. It was hard and some of them died many times but were brought back to life in an instant. They were all standing on a strand of hair above lava and a single wrong move would kill them if they fell.
Shelly was supporting those who were in need of help as Rozan acted as her shield and spear. She played a huge role that the Archangels had to focus on her, but it was a huge mistake the moment Jeanne unleashed her skill and killed those who ignored her.
They couldn't even control the situation and barely kept themselves alive, but more cracks appeared and brought more Archangels. They didn't know how long they could fight those Archangels, and the more of them, the more they died since they were bombarded with attacks that could kill them instantly.
Edith opened her eyes because of the explosions, and she noticed that Enma, Brynhilde, Manna, Lillith, Phirzia, and Costrezeir were protecting her. She realized what she did was pointless, and so she used a different method as she activated her skill.
The moment Edith activated her skill, all the Archangels were moving in slow motion. They were confused, but they didn't let that opportunity go and immediately butchered them.
"I can do it one more time, but I need to rest for a bit," Edith shouted and informed the others.
"You can rest," Beldathiel's voice could be heard from behind.
Enma and the others turned around and they were smiling in relief when they saw Luciel and the others arrived.
"Rest assured, the reinforcement has arrived," Beldathiel said with a huge grin as Luciel and her sisters flew to join the battle.
