Bad is harsh. There are pros and cons to foreign and English authors. Traditional webnovelists get paid by the chapter, have barely any room for spacing, and need to be constantly writing to be relevant. This also generally means that stories are drawn out, fairly basic, cliche, and no particularly well-written. Obviously there are gems and stories that break this mold, but this is generally what I see. They also consistently deliver easily digestible entertainment for years on end - so like I said, pros and cons.English webnovel writers, especially RR writers, traditionally start out writing for fun. They don’t make any money, they don’t have a responsibility to put out chapters, no guidelines on length/plot/consistency beyond what they think is best. Because of this, you’d usually end up with better writing, unique plots, proper story structure, etc. The cons are obvious, since they have no skin in the game, they can and will drop stories with no warning for any reason. They got bored, tired of dealing with reader rage, or life just changed circumstances. Now, this has been changing for RR writers. Modern day, people have realized you can make money off writing, so it’s because more of an industry in which there are two types of authors. Amazon publishing or patreon based. Amazon authors tend to write their book (200-300 pg standard) then publish one chapter a day on RR till it’s fully up. This attracts a bunch of readers who become fans. While putting up bk1 they are writing book 2. They then take down book 1 and publish it on Amazon - so you have to buy it, while posting book 2 one chapter at a time on RR. Rinse and repeat. This means that the story will stay high on RR charts since it’ll be consistent writing, but anyone coming in late who wants to read has to buy the previous books to catch up. This can be good if you catch them while they are still on book 1 and you can read everything for free. But it sucks otherwise. Patreon based authors started as people who enjoyed writing and wrote a lot, and simply let people who wanted to read ahead pay a little bit a month to keep ahead of the public chapters. Nowadays, it’s more streamlined. To be popular on RR the main thing new authors need is a consistent upload schedule, to achieve this an author will have a schedule of let’s say 3 chapters a week Mon,Wed,Fri. Throughout the week they write 5 chapters, leaving them 2 ahead of schedule, meaning that next week they only need to write one chapter to stay on schedule or 3 to stay ahead. If they stay ahead they can let people pay them on patreon to read those extra chapters (called a “backlog”).Now, these rules don’t apply to well established authors on RR, or people who do it as a side-hustle. This is because RR readers, especially readers who really prefer LitRPG, are essentially gutter rats who will eat up anything that’s offered to them. That means that an author can and will drop off the grid for years, no content, and when they pop back up all of us readers will be right back there, eating up the scraps they through down.

Actually not that bad novel considering what it trying to do.Its not a deep novel with some complex plot and character progression its pretty much a slice of life from the perspective of a dude that is unaturally lucky (at this point its pretty much confirmed that the Mc luck is 100/100 Mc even knows this.) and misunderstandings that this causes.And I must say the misunderstandings arent that forced like in other novel of this type.overall 8/10 in the "low quality trash food" category.

This is at most a 5/5 and at least a 4.5/5It's one of the few Chinese novels without any huge Chinese elements/remaking or whatever the word is. It stays true to the material that it uses. Plus it seems like the Author greatly cares for this. Yes there are some minor and probably major (depending on your view) inconsistencies like the MC not using a card that (If I remember correctly from the comments) counters an opposing card. I'm gonna give it a 9.1/10. This is a must read is you're interested in Yu Gi Oh due to: The structured and logical world building and event timeline,The use of mildly sarcastic humour to point out how ridiculously different this type of a world is from how ours is,The strict accuracy to lore,The easy to understand explanation on how everything works which allows you to enjoy the story without the need to have any prior knowledge on Yu Gi Oh.

Pretty much what I said. Duels are well thought out, yu-gi-oh world is more fleshed out, it's pretty interesting.
The canon characters don't veer off of what they would seem like if you've watched the anime, read the manga etc.You don't need to know much of anything about Yu-Gi-Oh to enjoy this one. Definitely would recommend giving it a shot.So even if you don't know anything other than Yu-Gi-Oh being a card game or are a hard core fan of the franchise, its enjoyable either way.

Cant help it. MC has that arrogance of a typical chinese protag who only relies on his golden finger, but laze around in the early chaps (currently in chap 30. Not sure if ill continue). MC also is shameless, bully and a liar, author just want to show it in a comedic undertone. He knows the dark side of the anime, wants to be low profile yet acting like a goof and showoff. Already has the mind of possibly an adult but is whiny and act likes a brat. The novel has problems with the grammar but its acceptable. Mc's reincarnation is only for convenience (for the knowledge of the future and other characters) other than that, MCs like a loser.
This guy is a complete bumb like I'm only on chapter 20 and he has no desire to train to get better and only wants to cheat his way to the top

Let me tell you, the mc slowly builds his power, and gradually reveals his power. He takes some risks, builds relationships, and is playing the long con. MC is f#cking 5 rn, ya'll really want him to brute force it like Naruto or Goku. Most chapters up to 50~ are the slow grind of training, interacting with the mc's adorable younger brother, and world building. It's a little to slow at times, but imo, it's the best Naruto fanfiction out there atm. The world building is actually really good. Christ knows I'm done with unimaginative gamer orphan SI's. But most of the other reviewers are probably lusty goons, so this type of story only appeals to the 5% of us who enjoy a little edge, some foolish comedy, and traditional culture. In conclusion, this is for men who enjoy seinen and have grown weary of endless shounen bullshit.

Lmao, you literally read like 3 chapters and arbitrarily decided the whole story was a 0.5/5. You’re literally the reason the saying “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” exist. That wasn’t even that cringe, and context-wise, it made complete sense. Also, reread the damn chapter or at least that segment of it; while it’s already inherently obvious why the instructor was impressed(he used an unconventional method and had the balls to try and kill the instructor, trusting he wouldn’t be punished) the novel has an entire PARAGRAPH explaining why she’s impressed.The novel as a whole is at least a 4.3/5. You just decided not to properly read or give it a chance. Genuinely, you should feel ashamed.
I totally agree with your opinion, I don't know why they read only 1 chapter and already say it's bad or shit when sometimes there are authors who are writing their first novel and at first they are bad but then they improve so it is better to read a little more before judging
The setting is your pretty standard Korean Modern Fantasy setting, with dungeons that mysteriously appeared, people awakening powers in any form, and an academy. It was executed pretty well and has few things that would negatively affect the reading of the story. The grammar, flow, pacing, etc... are all good, probably a grade 10 level of english so pretty good for a translated work. The story has a nice concept with a few fun little bits and references. Spoiler The synopsis is pretty misleading as the MC’s power isn’t his “famiglia” or anything like that. He has a bloodline power where he gains power from the number of enemies he faces, the amount of respect/fear he has overall, is stronger against those who fearful of him, enemies of his “people”, and those who are weaker. My only question is why the MC’s family/organization fled from the states to Korea when the “dungeons” spewed monster. Korea is pretty small compared to the U.S. so any dungeon breaking would affect more of the country but this is a Korean novel so it would be set in Korea and it isn’t a big deal anyway. 8/10

And in chapter 4-1 in the backstory of his father so can we take it that his father fled from Italy since the dungeons started in Europe before spreading to Asia and America like wildfire, so we can take it that it could have been easier to flee to South Korea than the U.S. And we also gets to know that it was his father who built the "famiglia" in Seul when the Korean government gave up on the immigrants to protect, and he awakened and as he grew stronger so did more and more people start to follow him and call him "Don". And what we can get from the story so are his only family Vito (father), Eugene (him/MC), Jiryan (daughter/his sister), and his dead mother. Now so am I not taking his maternal family into consideration since we only have heard their company name by chapter 47. So the "Famiglia" really is the classical mafia relationship family seen in movies like "The God Father" (The trilogy from 1972), so the synopsis makes sense in a sense of theoretical and poetic view.

A typical transmigrated MC doesn't realise he's overpowered and misunderstands everything story, it's most similar to "I’m Actually a Cultivation Bigshot" but not as fun though apparently it ends earlier which is a plus as that has become quite boring lately. There are translation issues like missing quotation marks to indicate speech at times but overall it's a fine read.

Btw although the MC interacts with a lot of guys, there's only one male lead and the romance is very slow and subtle (the most lovey dovey moments are towards the very end and the extras). The other guys and the MCs are strictly good bros but seriously the friendship between them all is so damn cute and funny as they're all pretty shameless but they care about each other a lot. I LOVED that there was almost no secrets between them because screw unneeded miscommunication and noble idiot tendencies. I hate it when authors force their MCs to shoulder everything alone when they don't have to because of pride or fear that they'll get their loved ones in trouble. Most of time things are just so much better when everyone is open and honest with each other because people can't protect themselves from dangers they're not aware of and generally there is strength in numbers. In this story, the MC and her awesome friends shoulder everything together. Posted this on chapter 94, it’s not a bad read, but not good too. Just very basic and feels like air.Well the plot is so basic, it feels like I’m reading “Timmy went to the park to play, he went down the slide and fell on his face. TheThe ratings are low because basically nobody likes this genre because what's the point of watching a development in a fantasy world if in the end the MC will return to earth and leave everything behind him because he thinks that everything he did is some kind of game, I even read a similar novel a long time ago or the MC with the same plot in the end after killing All the protagonists and made his harem and had children to leave everything behind despite him realizing towards the end, that wasn't a game but because "He misses the red flag that taught him integrity, dignity and honor" and these as history ended a pity I forgot the name of this BS but very difficult to forget such a stupid nationalist end.

Well...it's just an average read..if you have lot of patience you can read this...Story starts off rather ambiguously......like what the author planned here was transmigration into game..and introduced some stuff..but he wanted this to be different from generic transmigration and I think he messed up badly there...even without proper establishment about the game or about the real character or about the character who mc is about to possess....he just left few hints and that's all.... ..and there is almost zero world building from the start and mc randomly does whatever he want ...and it took me sometime to realise that he was in the game in the 1st chap...and all the times when author tried to show us some mysterious elements....revealing them would be spoilers...but rather than mysterious.. It's good light story with downsides.1) Cyberpunk very little part of it. It's have cyberpunk skin but not cyberpunk flesh.2) Story flow are smooth but only 1 event per chapter. Other novels describe dinner as one chapter, this one gives you one chapter of recipe choose, one of cooking and one of eating. Not a problem to binge read but feels like problem when awaiting new chapters.3) System are cool and unique a little but mc just doesn't use its near omnipotence. System here an alien shop with super ai companion. System user get points by killing aliens and spend points to buy some hight tech alien stuff. Mc here never explore this shop and never spend more than 10 minutes to choose smth. She just ask her ai new grenades with effects like black hole, big booms or smth else. Once a volume she ask new armour and gun.4) Mc just reject any plans or common sense till she will be near death. She hoard points to get deal with unexpected situations but every situation for her is unexpected because she havent real specialisation. She buy armour only after couple of new holes in her body. She start train aim only being forced. She even delay upgrading main implant (that control other and using as smartphone) and getting new arm in first chapters.All above make everything extremely slow and forcibly restrained. 300 chaps here feels like 50. But i can't say it's bad. I got entertainment enough from this novel.

Okay, it's a fresh take on a post apocalyptic world. Cat the MC, via virtue of being not a asshole was chosen to help fight off alien/monster invasions.It's not exactly a unique story...The MC is a orphan to be Hero! Except in this case she's, also a cripple missing a arm, and she gets f#cking malware from a museum in her cybernetic implantat eye like five minutes in.Story's pretty good, nice character interaction, no real Grammer issue either. This story the bad things get progressively worse, rather than all of a sudden the MC has randomly antagonized the final bad guy before chapter 10 which is becoming common.
As a side note its set in 2057, if you want to compare dates with the anecdotes every chapter.

After reading more it seems your right, there is a weird space of around 200 chapters in which the author avoids it heavily

I’ll be honest first ~50 or so chapters are barely passable 3.5 star (70%) work. It’s awkward, has pacing issues, and quality is all over the place. Some early chapters make me want to throw a 1 or 2 star at them. Yet it does get better.Past ch50 and after the author’s rant it gets that little spark of magic and past ch100 it starts to open its wings and a does more of it’s own thing in interesting ways while the chapters get more substance. Almost all the awkward shit is worked out, the author gets their shit together, and the world building starts getting good. I’d definitely bump the quality up to 4 stars or even a bit more where I’m at at ch 200(I have caught up to 396, quality is still slowly rising). Past that we get introduced to a lot of new original content with some themes we will all find familiar but rarely applied to the HP world.It’s no legendary novel, but after MC gets to hogwarts and settles in it becomes evident why the novel is still alive and getting to ch400 soon, if it stayed as bad as it started or got worse it would have died long ago. If you get past the author’s noob starting phase it is a decent novel to pass the time.
I’m 130 chapters in and the mc has used his system twice. He has a system shop which he can use to buy pretty much anything he’d ever need not even exclusive to the HP world but he’s only used it once and it was to gamble. If u ignore that one glaring issue this is a pretty solid fanfic. I just wish the author at least put a limit on how much he can use the system as an excuse in the beginning instead of having him just not use it.
I’m all caught up and honestly I got over the issues I had with the first 100 chaps. The author does love drawing things out tho. Overall pretty solid hp fanfic

I would say so, I quite liked it. It's essentially the MC is placed into an Orphanage in the HP world with a "gacha" system that after used the first time, he got Celebrimbors memories on how to make powerful magical rings. He also has essentially the spirit of Celebrimbor guiding him inside his mindscape. It's pretty "slow" paced though with it being I believe second year still, but it is made up with there being I think 2 chapters a day. He also get's more methods on making items. The system eventually gave him another way to create items besides Celebrimbors style later on but it hasn't been too explored as far as I know.

It's the best Cyberpunk 2077 fanfiction I've read.
solid 4 would be 5 if not for some small system problems and some parts of character building but in general a well written story with well developed characters. it gives you a new look for cyberpunk in its own pace. i love the mc she is great , smart , fun (sometimes awkward) but you can really get this character and put it in nightcity without any problem. she is fit for her role the love interest are building up in many directions but its not the only focus the trauma of her part is nice how she feels lonely sometimes to how fun and live she is. (also in brackets i love sexy motoko for those who get it xd) in summary at chapter 100 you have an mc with a mild to good reputation in night city she is still developing but she is already a badass im really glad for this story to have developed this much and i had the chance to read it thx seras-san ^^
my one gripe with it is the system and that's it i love everything thing else it has flaws but it's a lot fun read

There's a lot to like about the novel. I personally enjoyed the exploration of cyber psychosis, and netrunning. Generally the fic revels in exploring and enjoying Night City without all the drama and issues that other fics run into with V/Silverhand as MCs, This leads to a sort of mash up between murderhobo-ing and slice of life fluff, which is honestly right up my ally as a fan of power/progression fantasy and slice of life novels.The novel isn't the most serious of things, and you might find the regular references and occasional meme a little eye rolly. A fair bit of music is referenced as well that led me to youtube to find.All in all I found the work pretty thematic, and good for casual enjoyment. Its no Shawshank Redemption, but compared to the majority of chaff novels around, it stands out in a positive way. Overall I really liked it 4.5/5
Also since I liked this novel I tried to find other stuff similar to it, but everything I found was generally worse.Still if you want some other option's Stray Cat Strut by Ravensdagger is very similar in terms of cyberpunk+ progression fantasy+ slice of life + Female MC. Personally I found it a little too hard focused on the "action" which got a little samey with constantly killing aliens or w/e. But ymmv.Otherwise Seras' previous novel: Pokemon Trainer Vicky is pretty solid too , if obviously much different settings wise, but otherwise "feels" very similar. It was abandoned when Seras started writing this novel, but whats there is worthwhile.
1 Star ratings are from XXL burrito fans.This is a pretty good Cyberpunk 2077 fanfic with a system, decent character work, and pretty coherent lore. The start is really strong after a few chapters, cools off a bit as MC gets stronger and the latest arc has been starting wars in the comment section. The comment section on RR also has a lot of author interaction if you ever want official answers to stuff. Definitely binge worthy with a mix of harsh cyberpunk world and cozy slice of life stat grinding.
